Composer Michael Hersch is looking forward to the world and Austrian premieres of his second opera. Commissioned by Wien Modern in a co-production with ZeitRäume Basel and Gare du Nord Basel, his one-act opera Poppaea is set to a libretto by Stephanie Fleischmann.

Dr. Peter Simon, Michael and Sonja Koerner President & CEO of The Royal Conservatory of Music, Mervon Mehta, Executive Director of Performing Arts, and James Anagnoson, Dean of The Glenn Gould School, today revealed details of the diverse concerts that will make up the 13th concert season at The Royal Conservatory of Music.

On October 10, pianist Jeffrey Siegel officially relaunches indoor Hylton Presents performances in Merchant Hall with his concerts with commentary Keyboard Conversations Classics Declassified. Siegel hands off the baton to the Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra on October 30 for their Big Band Era performance Swingin' with the Met.

The 92nd Street Y has announced its fall classical music season today, its first fully in-person season since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Comprising 14 concerts performed in 92Y’s historic Kaufmann Concert Hall, the fall season includes two appearances by world-renowned pianist Richard Goode and more.

12 of Antonio Stradivari's finest violins have traveled across the world for a ground-breaking new project with violin superstar Janine Jansen. The resulting album - 12 Stradivari, out September 10, 2021 on Decca Classics - captures the individual characters of each instrument in a specially-curated program accompanied by Sir Antonio Pappano at the piano.

Our Magic Opera Flying Carpet Virtual Tour begins in Los Angeles with the Signature Recital by tenor Russell Thomas and pianist Kyung-Mi Kim. A native of  Miami, Florida, Thomas debuted as Pollione in LA Opera’s Norma. He sang Cavaradossi in Tosca and Titus in The Clemency of Titus . Next year, he will be Radames in Aida. Currently, he is the company's Artist in Residence.

Sarasota Orchestra has announced changes to the upcoming Sarasota Music Festival (SMF), which will take place over eight days in June 2021. The festival will still include the four scheduled concerts and a lecture and will showcase faculty artists and former fellows.

Collingwood Summer Music Festival has announced a unique live music experience with a series of drive-in concerts this summer. 

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the difficulties of presenting in-person concerts, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine has launched a weekly series of online music recitals, Tuesdays at 6, on the Cathedral's Facebook page and YouTube channel.
