To kick off the New Year, The Marsh launches its Solo Performer Spotlight series with the MarshStream debut of Lynne Kaufman's new work, Divine Madness.

On Friday, October 16, 2020, composer Anna Clyne releases Mythologies, a portrait album of five orchestral works recorded live by the BBC Symphony Orchestra, on AVIE Records.

With the health and safety of performers and patrons of greatest importance, the MainStage Irving-Las Colinas Board of Directors has replaced the previously scheduled production of the large-cast play Inherit the Wind with Sarah Ruhl's beautiful work Dear Elizabeth.

Wynn Handman, the famed New York acting teacher and Artistic Director of The American Place Theatre, died at home April 11, 2020 of Covid-19 related pneumonia. He was 97.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, is pleased to announce the recipients of The Willa Kim Costume Design Scholarship 2019. Administered by TCG with support from The Estate of Willa Kim, the Scholarship provides exceptionally talented costume designers who are enrolled in a university or professional training program with the opportunity to supplement their fine arts training in hand-drawing and painting. Northern Stage announces its 2018-19 Season, a season of plays connected by a theme of peace in a turbulent world. The main stage season is sponsored by Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital and begins with a rotating repertory of the 2017 Tony Award-winner for Best Play, Oslo by J.T. Rogers, and Sarah Ruhl's Dear Elizabeth. Inspired by the 1993 Oslo Peace Accords between the Israelis and Palestinians, Oslo is a deeply personal story about the individuals behind an historic peace negotiation and their all-too-human ambitions.

This winter, Portland Stage unveils the Dark Week Project, three staged readings of beloved playwright Sarah Ruhl's Dear Elizabeth while the Mainstage is 'dark', a technical term to signify that the theater is in a transition week between regularly scheduled productions.
