The producers of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and Lexus Broadway in Austin at Texas Performing Arts announced today that single tickets will go on sale today, June 7, 2013 at 10:00 AM.

Last month, Chicago's St. James Cathedral announced its fourth summer of free concerts, the "Music in the Neighborhood" series. And for the third straight year, BroadwayWorld Chicago's Regional Editor, Paul W. Thompson, author of the weekly column, "The Showtune Mosh Pit," will be performing on the series! This year, Thompson's concert will take place on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at 5:30 pm at 65 E. Huron Street in Chicago's Magnificent Mile neighborhood. His show is called, 'This Is Not Over Yet: Broadway Songs of the Millennial Era (1995-2003)." And today, his set list is being released!

The Civic Center of Greater Des Moines is scheduled to bring some of Broadway's most acclaimed and loved shows to Iowan audiences during their 2012-2013 season. THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record in Toronto for the week ending May 19. The show broke the record at the Princess of Wales Theatre grossing $1,549,131.00.

THE BOOK OF MORMON has been described by its creators, SOUTH PARK juggernauts Trey Parker and Matt Stone, as 'making fun of and celebrating things at the same time,' so it might not come as a surprise to them that seeing the satirical smash hit led student Liza Morong, 21, to pick up a real copy of The Book of Mormon.

MTG is looking for a producer for its Summer 2013 show, AVENUE Q. Deadline for submission is Monday, May 13th at 5:00PM. Performance dates are August 30-September 1, September 5-7, 12-14.

The Book of Mormon opened in Toronto last Thursday, kicking off a sold-out six week run at The Princess of Wales Theatre. Arguably the most hyped show of the year, Toronto audiences have been clamouring to get tickets to this Tony Award Winning production. BWW was on hand opening night to see if the show does in fact live up to the hype, and we are happy to report that the Mormons are indeed a crowd pleasing bunch.
