The Kleban Foundation has announced that the 23rd annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist has gone to Daniel Mate and the 23rd annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has gone to Alan Gordon. The 2013 prizes will be presented on June 24, 2013, in a private ceremony (by invitation only) hosted by ASCAP and BMI.
THE BOOK OF MORMON Announces Toronto Lotto Tickets

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has announced a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins April 30 at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto and plays a limited 6 week engagement through June 9, 2013. In Toronto, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, with up to 24 tickets available at $25 each, cash only.

Due to strong advanced ticket sales, The Human Race Theatre Company is adding five evening performances to the original June 6 - 23 run of Avenue Q. The run of the show is now extended through Saturday, June 29.

On Broadway, The Book of Mormon has broken the Eugene O'Neill Theatre's house record 44 times. The National Tour of The Book of Mormon has continually broken house records across the country since opening in Denver in the summer of 2012. The Chicago production of The Book of Mormon holds the house record at the Bank of America Theatre. The producers of The Book of Mormon, which opened Thursday night at London's Prince of Wales Theatre, announced that the show set a record for the biggest single day of sales in West End and Broadway history. Between 10:00 AM and Midnight on Friday, March 22, the day after opening, £2,107,972 ($3,210,019) was taken in ticket sales. 150,000 additional tickets have been made available and the show is now booking until January 11, 2014.
