Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON, which played a record breaking 43 week run in 2012-2013, returns to Chicago for a limited engagement February 24 through May 17, 2015 at Broadway In Chicago's Bank of America Theatre (18 W Monroe). THE BOOK OF MORMON holds the record for the largest weekly gross in the history of the Bank of America Theatre and played to over 100 performance capacity during its 2012-2013 engagement.

One of my son's favorite children's book series is "Fly Guy" by Tedd Arnold. So when we heard that Theatreworks, one of New York's preeminent family theatre companies, was presenting a musical version of "Fly Guy Meets Fly Girl", we knew we had to check it out! Our favorite, buzzing hero's tale was part of a new musical revue based on favorite children's books. The show kicked off a new weekend performance series at the Danny Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, and if "Fly Guy" was any indication, the rest of the series is sure to be a hit.

Novato Theater Company brings on that risque array of puppets and people in the Tony Award-winning musical comedy, Avenue Q. Veteran director Carl Jordan, an SFBATCC award-winner, helms the show, with music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, and book by Jeff Whitty. Music director is Monica Norcia. Avenue Q runs October 10 through November 9 at the NTC Playhouse, 5420 Nave Drive in Novato.

The Actors Fund Special Performance of The Book of Mormon is set for today, October 8, at 2 p.m.
