Tonight, November 2, 2018, Broadway's THE BOOK OF MORMON will play its 3,183rd performance, at which point it will become the longest running production in the history of the Eugene O'Neill Theatre. The previous record holder was the original production of Tobacco Road, which spent most of its 3,182-performance run at the Forrest Theatre (now the O'Neill).

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins Tuesday, Nov. 6 at the historic Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis) and plays a limited two-week engagement through Sunday, Nov. 18. In Minneapolis, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the Orpheum Theatre box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 per ticket.

Disney has announced that "Frozen 2" will now be released in theaters on Nov. 22, 2019, according to Variety. The film was originally slated to premiere about a week later, on November 27th.

AVENUE Q welcomes new cast members, Matt Dengler, Lacretta, Jamie Glickman and Rob Morrison, along with the previously announced addition of Gizel Jimemez as the legendary show continues to perform Off Broadway at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) in NYC. AVENUE Q is now in its 16th year on stage in NYC.

Disney Theatrical Productions will hold open auditions for its current and future productions of the award-winning musicals Aladdin, Frozen and The Lion King in cities across North America this winter. Casting representatives from all three productions will hold open auditions for local performers in Chicago November 9-11, 2018 at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago; Honolulu January 19, 2019 (location TBA); and Los Angeles February 15-17, 2019 at Downtown Dance and Movement.

A feat accomplished by few blockbusters in history, THE BOOK OF MORMON Jumamosi Tour celebrated its five millionth patron during an engagement at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts in Anchorage, which is also the show's first time to play the state. Anchorage resident Johnny Jones attended THE BOOK OF MORMON on Saturday, October 27th and was treated to a cast meet and greet to celebrate his being the five millionth patron to see the touring production.

Steven Reineke celebrated his tenth anniversary as Music Director of The New York Pops during the orchestra's current 2018-19 season. Steven is only the second person to hold the position of Music Director of The New York Pops, which was founded by Skitch Henderson in 1983, and is the largest independent pops orchestra in the United States and the only professional symphonic orchestra in New York City specializing in popular music. The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center announced today that it is now accepting submissions for the 2019 National Music Theater Conference. Writers may submit new musicals to the O'Neill's Open Submissions Process through Friday, November 2, 2018.

This December, New Conservatory Theatre Center continues its not-so-traditional tradition of its award-winning production of Avenue Q. Featuring "catchy melodies sung by randy puppets suffering post-collegiate existential dread" (SF Chronicle), NCTC's Avenue Q has been proclaimed a "local tradition" by San Francisco Travel, winning over critics and audiences alike in its previous engagements in NCTC's intimate Decker Theatre. Celebrity Attractions and the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust announce the National Broadway Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, will return to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement of only eight performances January 8-13. THE BOOK OF MORMON is a special add-on production to the Celebrity Attractions' 35th Anniversary 2018-2019 Broadway Season. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 12 at 10 a.m.
