 The Suzi Bass Awards revealed nominations for the 2015-2016 Atlanta professional theatre season on Monday evening, September 12, to patrons and industry artists. National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director) has announced the line-up of new musicals for their 28th Annual FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 27 and Friday, October 28, 2016 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

This monthly music series is being introduced and hosted by FRIGID New York at Horse Trade and music event producer Salli Squitieri bringing both up and coming and renowned performing artists of all genres from near and far to these two historically rich funky chic unique East Village flavored theaters. With so many of the smaller venues disappearing this series not only helps to fill a void by creating a new forum for musicians, but likewise offers the regional clientele the experience of an off the beaten path, nostalgic and intimate music sojourn. Many of the performers who are eager to be part of this series and help kick start it are specifically customizing their shows and designing performances just for this series.

'MAME', starring Angela Lansbury opened on Broadway 50 years ago! Last evening Thursday, May 26th, members of that company gathered for a 50th Anniversary Celebration at Sardi's.

Tickets are selling fast for Dolly Parton's 'Pure & Simple Tour,' her largest North American tour in more than 25 years. Many shows have limited tickets available and additional dates have been added through November.

ASU Gammage announces the 2016 High School Musical Theater Awards nominees!

Coming off the phenomenal performance of last year's holiday special and looking to recapture the enthusiasm of the nearly 16 million viewers who tuned in, NBC is announcing the sequel DOLLY PARTON'S CHRISTMAS OF MANY COLORS: CIRCLE OF LOVE.

Mame, starring stage icon Angela Lansbury opened on Broadway 50 years ago this year - and in celebration, members of the company, including Lansbury, will gather for a 50th Anniversary Celebration at Sardi's on May 26. Other cast appearances have yet to be confirmed.
