The Playhouse is Proud to Present IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY

Dr. David Mortimore, a renowned neurologist, is about to deliver the most important lecture of his life when into his hospital comes Jane Tate, ex-nurse and ex-girlfriend with shocking news as to why she had to leave so hastily 16 years and nine months ago. Not only is Dr. Mortimore suddenly learning he is the father of her son Leslie, but the strapping teenager is now in waiting in the reception area to meet his long lost parent!

Trying to hold both his career and marriage together, there is only one solution for Dr. Mortimore --- send in his faithful friend, Dr. Bonney! What ensues is a hilarious web of expanding lies and silly cover-ups involving a Police Sergeant, Dr. Mortimore's wife, a strict hospital Matron, and Dr. Bonney.

It Runs in the Family is a fast and furious farce at its finest, spinning deliriously out of control and tickling funny bones in traditional Ray Cooney fashion. You really shouldn't miss this 2016-2017 Playhouse season opener on the Depot main stage!
