As it embarks on its sixth season, Broken Nose Theatre is pleased to announce a major expansion of the company by welcoming four new Company Members and eight new Artistic Associates.
The Jeff Awards announced, via a special video presentation, a total of 127 nominations in 26 categories for the 44th Annual Non-Equity Jeff Awards for productions that opened between April 1, 2016, and March 31, 2017. Hosting the video presentation were Alexis Roston and Lillian Castillo, who will be this year's Mistresses of Ceremonies at the Awards event on June 5 at The Athenaeum.

Broadway In Chicago and Emerald City Theatre are pleased to announce A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS by Charles M. Schulz returns to the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut) November 11, 2016 through January 8, 2017, after playing to sold-out houses during the 2015 holiday season. Based on the television special by Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson and adapted for the stage by Eric Schaefferby special arrangement with Arthur Whitelaw and Ruby Persson, this newly-staged production of A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS will be directed by Ann Filmer.

A new series of professionally shot web videos promoting Chicago's neighborhood theater scene is debuting online today, the work of a new non-profit named Friends of Chicago's Neighborhood Theatres. The group's plan is to release one You Tube video every two to three months as part of a new viral marketing campaign promoting Chicago theater titled 'A City of Stories.'

Then, Step Up rings in the holidays with its third annual HOLIDAZE, a hilarious and heartfelt collection of original, holiday-themed short works by some of the industry's most talented young playwrights.
