Chicago Dramatists invites Chicago to celebrate its first 35 years and play a role in the future of American theatre by joining the 'Drive for 35' and the annual Blue Moon Gala. The goal of the online 'Drive for 35' is to raise $10,000 before the Blue Moon Gala, which takes place tonight, June 6 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Zolla-Lieberman Gallery, 325 W. Huron, Chicago. The Blue Moon Gala unites philanthropic, civic, business and artistic communities in celebration of Chicago Dramatists' mission to develop new plays and nurture playwrights for the benefit of the American theatre repertory.
Open enrollment for Chicago Dramatists Summer Courses continues at www.chicagodramatists.org or 312-633-0630 for classes set to begin in mid-June. The quarterly schedule of courses is designed for beginning and experienced playwrights. Classes are taught by some of Chicago's finest writers, educators, dramaturgs and directors. First-timers, network/resident playwrights and college students receive discounted tuition.

The Den Theatre is pleased to launch its 2014 season with the world premiere crime caper THE ROPER by Chicago playwright Will Dunne, directed by ensemble member Ron Wells, playing March 3 - April 13, 2014 on The Den Theatre Mainstage, 1333 N. The Ruckus Theater and Tympanic Theatre Company have announced their upcoming world premiere co-production of Brewed. Developed over the course of 8 years through a series of workshops, the script of Brewed is written by Scott T. Barsotti and directed by Anna C. Bahow. The cast of seven women is a motley crew of Ruckus and Tympanic regulars and Chicago theater favorites. Brewed is performed at Theater Wit (1229 W. Belmont) March 2-24, 2013. Thursday-Saturday performances are at 8:00pm; Sunday performances are at 7:00pm. Preview is on Friday, March 1 and tickets are $12. Press opening is on Monday, March 4, 2013. General tickets are $17. This fall, Mirror Stage returns to fully-staged productions with the West Coast premiere of Odin's Horse by Robert Koon at the Ethnic Cultural Theatre tonight, October 24 through November 11, 2012. Odin's Horse marks Mirror Stage's first fully staged production since 2003.
As a part of the West Coast Premiere of ODIN'S HORSE by Robert Koon, Mirror Stage is also presenting Free Community Forums to further illuminate themes from the play. Community Forums are open to the public and will take place at 4:30pm after each Sunday 2pm matinee performance and post-play discussion.
