The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced that the UK and Ireland Tour of Matilda The Musical will extend into 2019, touring to six more cities and accompanied by a specially devised education programme, Change My Story, for schools.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center today announced the 2018/2019 season of its Broadway Series, featuring The Dallas Theater Center production of Hairspray; A Bronx Tale; The Lincoln Center Theater Broadway production of Falsettos; The Play That Goes Wrong; Bat Out of Hell and Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. All performances will take place at the Winspear Opera House in the downtown Dallas Arts District.

Writer and actor Mara Wilson, known to many for playing Matilda Wormwood in the beloved film Matilda, will be helping Willy Wonka  with his search as  one of the judges in thisyear's Roald Dahl's Imaginormous Challenge and will be helping to read the entries and pick the winners. Mara announced her involvement on Twitter earlier this week, noting that she is 'thrilled to be helping to pick a winner!'

This April, Riverside Theatres will present two exceptional and exciting new theatre works for young people, Roald Dahl's George's Marvellous Medicine and Patrice Balbina's Chance Encounter with the End of the World.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's West End production of Matilda The Musical has announced that Sara Munday and Olivia Wells will join Lily-Mae Evans and Savannah Read in the title role of Matilda from 13 March 2018. Seen by over 7.7 million people across more than 60 cities worldwide, the multi award-winning production is now playing its seventh year in London, booking at the Cambridge Theatre until 10 February 2019.

Hundreds of New Jersey's young theatre talent will join together at Harrington Middle School in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey on May 5th for a day of musical theatre performances, workshops, guest clinicians and fun. The 2018/19 Mirvish season will feature six Canadian premieres, one North American premiere, one pre-Broadway engagement and five new productions. A total of 16 shows will play at Mirvish theatres from June 2018 to July 2019. The main subscription season will feature seven shows and the Off-Mirvish season three shows. There will be six bonus shows that will not be on subscription.
