Village Theatre is excited to announce its 2018-2019 Season with a collection of inspiring and magical shows. The lineup includes: The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes, a World Premiere musical comedy about an average man stuck in a musical world; Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical, an award-winning musical that will feature a talented and local young cast and incredible visual stage-magic; I Do! I Do! a classic romantic musical about marriage; The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, a powerful show about a 15-year-old boy with a unique mind that is out to solve a mystery; and Million Dollar Quartet, the homegrown rocking hit that premiered on Village Theatre's stage 12 years ago.

The 2018-2019 Season runs September 13, 2018 to June 23, 2019 in Issaquah and October 26, 2018 to July 28, 2019 in Everett. "This is going to be a really wonderful Season here at Village Theatre," says executive producer Robb Hunt, "and we couldn't be happier to have our new artistic director, Jerry Dixon, taking the reins following Steve Tomkins retirement this June. Jerry and Steve were both at the table for the selection process, and we think we have come up with something really special."

The 2018-2019 Season will be Jerry Dixon's first year as artistic director and he is committed to continuing the theatre's dedication to raising the bar on production quality with each passing year. "Having had the pleasure of directing shows at Village Theatre in the past," says Dixon, "I know how talented and devoted the artists here are - from our incredible creative designers, to the carpenters who build the sets, the engineers, painters, wig masters, electricians, and more. This talent and devotion extends way beyond what you see on stage to include box-office workers, maintenance, ushers, marketing, accountants, and a multitude of others. Every show at Village Theatre is the result of months of collaboration to bring something new, dynamic, and visually stunning for our audiences to experience. I can't wait to carry forward that tradition of excellence."
