Corbin Bleu Extends in IN THE HEIGHTS to 8/17; Seth Stewart Returns as Graffiti Pete

Kevin McCollum, Jeffrey Seller and Jill Furman Willis, the producers of the 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights, announced today that Seth Stewart will return to the role of 'Graffiti Pete,' the role he originated, for 4 weeks only from Monday, June 7, through Satuday, July 3, 2010 at Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street). In addition Corbin Bleu has added a final 3 additional weeks to his critically acclaimed run in In The Heights. Corbin Bleu's final performance is Tuesday, August 17, and beginning August 19, In The Heights will star American Idol winner Jordin Sparks.

The 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights welcomes 19 Recordings/Jive Records platinum recording artist and 2007 'American Idol' winner Jordin Sparks as Broadway's new Nina Rosario. Making her Broadway debut in In The Heights Thursday, August 19, 2010, 20 year old Jordin Sparks will play a limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, November 14, 2010.

Yesterday, on April 28, The Shubert Organization and the Career Transition For Dancers hosted a 'Between the Shows' get together and dinner for for Broadway dance community at Sardi's in Times Square. In attendance was Nick Adams, Kelly Bishop, Caitlin Carter, Mercedes Ellington, Priscilla Lopez, Vivian Nixon, Keith Roberts, John Selya, Judine Somerville and many more of the talented dancers that grace the Broadway stages each night. BroadwayWorld was also on hand for the celebration honoring some of Broadway's best.
Mr. Memphis Crowned As Winner At 4th The Broadway Beauty Pageant

Charlie Williams, Mr. Memphis, was crowned as winner of the 4th The Broadway Beauty Pageant held Monday evening at Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th St.). The popular event is the annual spring benefit for New York's Ali Forney Center, which houses homeless LGBT youth in New York City.
