Actors and dancers and their audiences are big consumers of plastic water bottles and we have decided to do something to help the planet by banning the sale of plastic water bottles.

Film actor Tim Realbuto* has been tapped to play John Hinckley, the man whose obsession with a young Jodie Foster made him attempt to assassinate President Ronald Reagan, in Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's musical masterpiece ASSASSINS, opening May 2nd at Long Island City's Secret Theatre. The production will be directed by Lauren Shields.

We are performing our production in the 8000sq ft Plaxall Gallery in LIC. The production features an Ariel on silks, a dance company, projections and a huge playing area where scenes will move around the space with the audience following the action. Directed by Owen Thompson our production has incorporated a dance company choreographed by the incredible Shoko Tamai of Ninja Ballet, projection design by Sadah Espii Proctor. The production also features a concurrent art exhibition, …Dream Again curated by The Plaxall Gallery's Norma Homberg.

Red Bull Associate Producer and Ript Theater Company Founder Nathan Winkelstein (Government Inspector), leads an exceptional cast that features Lindsay Alexandra-Carter (Rosalind-The Folger), Ade Otukoya (Shades of Blue), and St Louis Circle Award two time nominee Chauncy Thomas (Labute New Theater Festival). Hamlet is directed by Nathan Winkelstein with sound design by Alan Waters, lighting design by Paul Kennedy and costumes by Sarah Marie Dixey.

Producer Richard Mazda [Hair, Chorus Line, Richard Iii]  is proud to present Lucille Lortel & Drama Desk Award winning play, The Exonerated by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen. Ghostlight – A horror short featuring 8 young actors from the Secret Theatre Academy who are all between the ages of 11 – 13 years old feature in a short film written and directed by Richard Mazda.

Secret Theatre Musical's Richard Mazda Hair, King Lear, A Chorus Line proudly presents the 'Mother of All Musicals' GYPSY! The Secret Theatre recent winning musical streak includes stunning productions of Cabaret, A Charlie Brown Christmas & A Chorus Line and we are thrilled to add this iconic musical to our ever-growing list!

The Secret Theatre is in danger of shutting its doors due to the due to the economy and uncertainty of the future of arts funding. This could happen as soon as February unless people come together to signal their desire to keep the Secret Theatre alive.

The exhibition will be held just across the East River from Manhattan in Long Island City, Queens, at the LIC Arts Open Gallery at The Factory LIC. The management team at The Factory have generously donated this space to LIC Arts Open for hosting shows throughout the year, as well as providing additional gallery space for the annual LIC Arts Open festival.

The Secret Theatre is bringing back our hit show from 2016's holiday season! The show was extremely popular last year and this year is shaping up to be one of the best holiday shows on offer this season in New York.

LOVE IS DEAD! is a modern day penny-dreadful, though with more South Park style than Grand Guignol wit and style to balance it out.
