On Wednesday, April 9, more than 270 friends of God's Love We Deliver gathered at the 11th Annual Authors In Kind. This literary luncheon, held at the Metropolitan Club, was emceed by Board Member, author extraordinaire and Authors In Kind founder, Linda Fairstein. Linda introduced each guest author, who then took the podium to share anecdotes and remarks about their work to the delight of our many guests. The William & Eva Fox Foundation and Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, have announced the eighth round of Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowship recipients. The program is designed to support actors' professional and artistic development, to enrich relationships between actors and nonprofit theatres and to ensure continued professional commitment to live theatre. Funded by the Fox Foundation and administered by TCG, the fellowship is one of only a few programs of its kind for actors in the country.

How can one day sum up four life-changing years? This past Friday, May 24th I crossed the stage of Alice Tully Hall to receive my Bachelor of Fine Arts diploma from President Joseph W. Polisi of The Juilliard School. Like dancing, this moment held such significant meaning yet in it's ephemeral state it is hard to believe it happened, let alone share the experience- but I'll try my best.
Ballet Hispanico raised more than $1 million in support of the company's important artistic and educational work in New York City and around the country at their 2013 Spring Gala on Monday, April 8, 2013. A portion of the contributions are designated to the Jody G. Arnhold Scholarship Fund, launched last year by Ballet Hispanico Honorary Chairman and 2012 Gala honoree Jody Gottfried Arnhold to further support the School of Dance. In addition, guests were surprised with a $100,000 challenge grant made by the SHS Foundation, a longtime supporter of Ballet Hispanico with a deep commitment to dance and education. Approximately 400 attendees gathered in The Plaza Hotel's Grand Ballroom to celebrate the legacy of the Ballet Hispanico School of Dance, and honor Randy Falco, President & CEO of Univision Communications with its Civic Inspiration Award.
