The much-anticipated Manila premiere of Broadway's longest-running American musical, CHICAGO, razzle-dazzled audiences with its hard-hitting numbers (All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango, Razzle Dazzle), which speak of passion, treachery, murder, and glossed-over celebrity, on opening night. Leading the pack of an all-American cast of Broadway veterans is Bianca Marroquin who rocked Solaire Resort and Casino's The Theatre with her multi-faceted portrayal of accused murderess Roxie Hart. The strong ensemble, while writhing, gyrating, and exploding to John Kander's music, provided the backdrop to Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse's dark satirical commentary of the 1920s Prohibition-era Chicago. When the audience rose to a standing ovation at the end of the show, it was palpable that even in these modern days, it is impossible to convict good looking murderesses.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the PARENTHOOD star has signed on to star in a new NBC comedy project from Ellen DeGeneres.

Former Footloose star Kevin Bacon is in talks to join JUNGLE, a semi-authobiographical thriller by Yossi Ghinsberg depicting a dangerout trip to the Amazon jungle. Bacon will likely play the mysterious jungle guide, Karl. Adapted by Justin Monjo, Greg McLean is set to direct the film which will be filmed in Australia and Colombia in early 2015.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced additional casting for The Real Thing, starring Ewan McGregor as 'Henry,' Maggie Gyllenhaal as 'Annie,' Cynthia Nixon as 'Charlotte' and Josh Hamilton as 'Max.' Tom Stoppard's Tony Award-winning play The Real Thing, directed by Sam Gold begins preview performances on Thursday, October 2, 2014 and opens officially on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42ndStreet). This is a limited engagement. The cast also includes Alex Breaux as 'Brodie' and Madeline Weinstein as 'Debbie.' Final casting to be announced.

Today, Billboard reports that Allen is no longer composing music for the project.

Following the tragic death of her friend Paul Walker, whose final film she penned the title song for; Singer/Songwriter Natalia Safran vowed to give back to the community whenever possible. Recently she hosted the first ever Salon Series at her Beverly Hills residence. The evening featured an intimate performance by students from the Music Unites Centennial High School Jazz Ensemble, a program started last summer in the Compton Unified School District. The Hollywood Reporter writes that Daniel Craig has left the upcoming courtroom drama THE WHOLE TRUTH just days before the project was scheduled to begin filming in Boston. The start date is reportedly being pushed back three weeks from April 14 to allow the producers time to find a replacement.

Directed by SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED's Colin Trevorrow, JURASSIC WORLD also stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Original JURASSIC PARK director Steven Spielberg will produce.
