Raymond Bobgan, CPT Executive Artistic Director, Selected Join TCG Board of Directors

Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) is proud to announce that Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, welcomes Raymond Bobgan, CPT Executive Artistic Director to its prestigious board of directors. Raymond joins five other new members from around the country including Will Davis, artistic director, American Theatre Company, Chicago, IL; Jamie Herlich, director of development, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Seattle, WA; Benita Hofstetter Koman, executive director, The Roy Cockrum Foundation, Reedville, VA; Johamy Morales, education director, Creede Repertory Theatre, Creede, CO; and Randy Reyes, artistic director, Mu Performing Arts, St. Paul, MN.

Cleveland Teens Create An Original Play at CPT's STEP Youth on Tour

Cleveland Public Theatre's (CPT) Executive Artistic Director Raymond Bobgan is proud to present the return of CPT's celebrated Student Theatre Enrichment Program (STEP), Cleveland's longest-running arts and job training program for urban teens. STEP celebrates its 23rd year with the latest original play, And Yet, We Shine, on tour to Cleveland city parks from August 1-11.

Cleveland Public Theatre to Host 2017-18 Season Announcement Party this Friday

DanceWorks 2017 features eight companies from the Northeast Ohio region and beyond, including local favorites Travesty Dance Group, Antaeus Dance, Verb Ballets (with BodyEDT of Taiwan), Inlet Dance Theatre, Elu Dance Company, Across the Board, MorrisonDance and Alpha.

Theatre Communications Group Awards Cleveland Public Theatre Audience (R)Evolution Travel Grant

 Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) has been awarded a Theatre Communications Group Audience (R)Evolution Travel Grant for Executive Artistic Director, Raymond Bobgan, and Director of Community Ensembles, Faye Hargate, to meet with artistic leaders across the country who are currently engaged with Arab-American and Middle Eastern populations to gather best practices for developing work for and with these communities. Theatre Communications Group (TCG), is the national service organization for professional theatres in the United States. Funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation (DDCF), Audience (R)Evolution is a nationally recognized program that includes travel grants to sixteen teams of TCG Member Theatre staff and community stakeholders to observe effective audience engagement programs and strategies to deepen relationships with communities they serve.

Cleveland Public Theatre presents TEST FLIGHT 2017

Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) is proud to announce the Test Flight 2017 series. Test Flight is a multi-week series that showcases new work on its way to full production, providing both local and national/international artists with the keys to the theatre and the opportunity to co-produce original works-in-progress. Test Flight encourages risk-taking and an entrepreneurial spirit towards creating new work while offering artists a structured support system, activating an art-focused environment. CPT's New Play Development Program is intended to move projects forward, whether through full productions at CPT, receiving larger exposure or participating in touring performances or Fringe Festivals.
