Freestyle Digital Media (FDM) and Freestyle Releasing announce that they have concluded a deal to release the Brazilian-set action thriller FALCON RISING. The film, which stars Michael Jai White (THE DARK KNIGHT, SPAWN), Laila Ali ('American Gladiators,' 'Daddy's Girl') and Neal McDonough ('Justified,' MINORITY REPORT), was produced by Etchie Stroh and Shahar Stroh, directed by Ernie Barbarash and is slated for a theatrical release today, September 5th, 2014 with VOD bowing one day earlier. There is a rule that is generally accepted by all movie fans; while a sequel might eclipse its original in box office receipts, merchandise sales, and social media presence, it is only on rare occasions when it can match its predecessor in terms in quality. That rule is especially true when it comes to originals that are marked by an innovation or creative flare that revolutionizes, or defies, its genre.
