RUBICON THEATRE has announced a three-play WinterFest as part of the company's 2024/2025 “Dare to Dream” season. The first two plays in the festival celebrate a new collaboration between RUBICON THEATRE COMPANY and THE ACTING COMPANY (TAC) of New York.
In this interview, we have the privilege of evoking Greg Pierotti's insights. He is a University of Arizona Theatre professor, a distinguished artist, and the co-author of THE LARAMIE PROJECT, which he now directs at the university. The script evolved from his work with Moisés Kaufman and the renowned Tectonic Theater Project in New York City. The company is best known for developing new plays using 'Moment Work,' a trademarked playwriting method that employs rigorous research and collaboration in a laboratory environment. The process is a significant part of Pierotti's work, which resides at the intersection of theater and anthropology.
The School of Theatre, Film & Television present Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet in the Tornabene Theatre at the University of Arizona. The famed love story, told in a bold, new and authentically American voice, is a presentation of TFTV's Arizona Repertory Theatre, the public laboratory and showcase for the School's professional actor training program. It marks the 50th production directed for the School by Brent Gibbs.
The School of Theatre, Film & Television (TFTV) will present Polaroid Stories in the Tornabene Theatre at the University of Arizona Oct. 27 - Nov. 6.
