Barefoot Theatre Company will kick off its new bareNaked Reading Series (Molly Marinik, Program Director; Jennie West, Co-Producer), a reading of a new play every second Monday of the month, starting Monday, January 14 with a 7pm reading of the new play SNOW ORCHID written & directed by Joe Pintauro ("Raft of the Medusa"), and featuring a cast of Angelina Fiordellisi (Cherry Lane Artistic Director), Francisco Solorzano (Barefoot Theatre Artistic Director), John Magaro ("Not Fade Away" opposite James Gandolfini), Cory Kosel, and Ray Abruzzo ("The Practice," "The Sopranos").
The stars of the hit USA original series IN PLAIN SIGHT are saying goodbye to fans in the first ever cast-created SideShow during the series finale, 'All's Well That Ends,' on Friday, May 4 at 10/9c.
The new original series COMMON LAW will premiere on USA Network on May 11th at 10/9c. Director and actor Natalija Nogulich has been named as director for the Chicago premiere of songwriter Spider Saloff's one-woman musical, THE ROAR OF THE BUTTERFLY, to be presented by KMP Artists at Victory Gardens' Richard Christiansen Theater May 2 - 20, 2012. In the tradition of Lilly Tomlin and Tracey Ullman, Saloff portrays eight different characters in this new musical comedy.
Mr. Lauria, star of The Wonder Years and the original Broadway production of Lombardi, will also be reading one of the roles. He will be accompanied by Ray Abruzzo, a Hollywood veteran who has appeared on The Sopranos, Dynasty and The Practice-- and who is currently portraying the title character in Lombardi at Mosaic Theatre (Nov 10 through Dec 4). Also joining them is Richard Zavaglia, a well-known actor who also has numerous credits on film, television and the stage.
