The Sopranos' Ray Abruzzo is set to head up the cast of D. Tucker Smith's Quake at the Open Fist Theatre in Hollywood. Produced by Broadway actress Anjali Bhimani (Bombay Dreams, Metamorphoses) and directed by D. Tucker Smith with Anjali Bhimani, Quake will preview July 13th, open July 15th, with a run until August 27th. The play is the first of three full-length world premieres to debut this summer at the Open Fist's First Look Festival, a two month celebration of new works.

Abruzzo was seen in the critically acclaimed West Coast Premier of Theresa Rebeck's Mauritius at the Pasadena Playhouse and starred in Cannibals at the Zephyr Theater and the world premiere of John Patrick Shanley's Italian-American Reconciliation. His television credits include L.A. LAW, Dynasty, Night Court, The Practice, and most notably as Little Carmine Lupertazzi for 4 seasons on HBO's groundbreaking, The Sopranos. The cast also includes Marc Aden Gray (Of Mice and Men, Proof) and Open Fist ensemble members Alex Pierce, Maxie Solters, and Stephanie Terronez.

D. Tucker Smith is also the author of The Great Game, Patriot, The Knockout and Overnight Delivery.

"We are so proud and excited to have such a tremendous cast for this production," says Bhimani. "and I can't wait for the world to see and hear D's extraordinary play come to life." Smith adds, "Of all my plays, Quake is particularly personal to me and everyday it's a thrill to watch these fine actors make it their own."

Additional works in the festival include Shoshana Bean and Eydie Faye's Dear John Mayer; Laura Richardson's Life On This Couch; Rebecca Sue Haber's Neither Here Nor There; Philip William Brock's Singapore; Richard Manley's An Ignorant Man; Jesse Bernstein's The Power and the Glory: The Tale of Phil Ochs (American); and Jim Bontempo's She's the Best.

Previews begin July 13th at the Open Fist Theatre, 6209 Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles. For tickets and showtimes, please call (323) 882-6912 for details or visit www.openfist.org to purchase tickets online or to view complete festival schedule.
