Juilliard Dance, under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes, opens its 2013-2014 season with New Dances PLUS: Edition 2013, Wednesday, December 11 through Sunday, December 15, 2013 in Juilliard's Peter Jay Sharp Theater and features Juilliard alumna Pina Bausch's Wind von West (Wind from the West) performed by the Senior Class, plus three world premiere commissions created for each of the classes of Juilliard's Dance Division. Next season's innovative choreographers are Juilliard alumnus Takehiro Ueyama (1st Year Dancers); Brian Brooks (2nd Year Dancers); and Juilliard alumnus Darrell Grand Moultrie (3rdYear Dancers).

Extending this season's hot streak of productions that make bold artistic statements, Asolo Repertory Theatre will present Noah Racey's Pulse. A song and dance celebration that harkens back to the golden age of hoofing, Pulse is written, conceived, and choreographed by Broadway song and dance man Noah Racey in collaboration with Broadway director and two-time Tony Award nominee Jeff Calhoun. Pulse opens tonight, May 23 with an 8 p.m. curtain. The show runs through June 16, 2013 in Asolo Rep's Mertz Theatre located in The FSU Center for the Performing Arts.

Featuring outstanding NYC Dance Alliance alumni, choreography from NYC Dance Alliance faculty, and special guest performances from prominent professional dance companies, there will also be a post-performance talkback available to all in attendance. VIP tickets are $100 (prime orchestra ticket and a ticket to the after party), additional tickets are priced at $45 (orchestra seating) and $25 (for loge or front row orchestra seating).

The Kennedy Center and Chicago Human Rhythm Project (CHRP) celebrate the ever-evolving art of percussive dance with CHRP's JUBA! Masters of Tap and Percussive Dance on December 7, 2012 at 8 p.m. in the Eisenhower Theater. Curated by CHRP Founder and Artistic Director Lane Alexander, this full-length tap concert will feature a host of extraordinary foot drummers and percussive arts masters from all over the country.
