Rasta Thomas' Romeo and Juliet will play a four-week London season at the Peacock Theatre, Sadler's Wells' home in the West End, now through Sunday 29 March. The show opens tonight, 4 March 2015. BC Beat, the bi-annual choreography showcase established to support, explore and experience innovative theatrical dance, announces a line up for Monday November 10th featuring eight choreographers with work performed by a company of 40 artists from Broadway's biggest hits. The evening kicks off with 7pm at Cielo (18 Little W. 12th Street).

Carlos Garland, Season 10 finalist on Fox TV's "So You Think You Can Dance," joined the cast of iLUMINATE on June 23rd at New World Stages.

Get ready, London... the Bad Boys of Dance are coming atcha!

This year's Jacob's Pillow Dance Award, a coveted honor carrying a $25,000 cash prize, will be presented to choreographer John Heginbotham in recognition of his talent and outstanding contributions to the dance field. Heginbotham, an alumnus of The School at Jacob's Pillow, has garnered critical and popular acclaim for his contemporary works, eclectic and rich with “movement that exhibits sharpness, energy, formality and, yes, oddity” (Alastair Macaulay, The New York Times). His company, Dance Heginbotham, will perform the evening-length world premiere of Chalk and Soot in the Doris Duke Theatre July 30-August 3. In Chalk and Soot, Heginbotham joins forces with composer Colin Jacobsen to create a work featuring imaginative, theatrical choreography, live music performed by superstar string quartet Brooklyn Rider, the vocal stylings of Shara Worden (lead singer of My Brightest Diamond), and singer/songwriter Gabriel Kahane on harmonium.

Closing their 2013-14 Season, HGO is presenting Georges Bizet's acclaimed CARMEN. For this production, Award winning Broadway Director and Choreographer Rob Ashford took the reins and has created a CARMEN that is as beautiful as it is exciting.

After taking the US, Australia and Europe by storm, Rasta Thomas' Bad Boys of Dance are to make their eagerly awaited West End debut in Rock the Ballet, a breathtaking fusion of classic ballet, hip hop, tap and acrobatics performed against a backdrop of animated scenery and stadium rock lighting.

A high-octane troupe of stellar dancers towing the lines of classical and contemporary movement, Rasta Thomas' Bad Boys of Dance features "fast and furious pop dancers steeped in ballet basics" (Chicago Tribune). Appearing on the stage at Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, February 20-22, the company's fast-paced 80-minute signature program is performed by six male and two female dancers to a soundtrack of popular music from Kanye West, Michael Jackson, Coldplay, The Beatles, Robin Thicke, Usher, Queen, Justin Timberlake and more.

FLASHDANCE - THE MUSICAL, the stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that defined a generation, will perform at the Aronoff Center, October 29 - November 10, 2013 as part of the Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati 13/14 Season. Winner of Best Documentary at both the San Francisco Dance Film Festival and the Dance Camera West Festival in Los Angeles, Dancing at Jacob's Pillow: Never Stand Still will have its television premiere on THIRTEEN's Great Performances tonight, July 26 at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings).

Juilliard Dance, under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes, opens its 2013-2014 season with New Dances PLUS: Edition 2013, Wednesday, December 11 through Sunday, December 15, 2013 in Juilliard's Peter Jay Sharp Theater and features Juilliard alumna Pina Bausch's Wind von West (Wind from the West) performed by the Senior Class, plus three world premiere commissions created for each of the classes of Juilliard's Dance Division. Next season's innovative choreographers are Juilliard alumnus Takehiro Ueyama (1st Year Dancers); Brian Brooks (2nd Year Dancers); and Juilliard alumnus Darrell Grand Moultrie (3rd Year Dancers).
