Right now, 62% of arts and cultural workers are entirely unemployed, including more than 69% of Black and Indigenous artists and artists of color. Creative workers faced an average individual loss of $22,000 each in 2020.

Since the beginning of the PAUSE in New York, small arts venues have been at a standstill, unable to generate any revenue while public events remain on hold for the greater good. Meanwhile, rents are due each month with no relief.

Rapid relief grants of up to $500 continuing to be awarded to support the indie theater community, prioritizing the consortium of companies, venues, and individuals working in NYC independent theater (Off-Off-Broadway in theater houses of 99 seats or less), operating with budgets under $250,000.

The event will honor Randi Berry of IndieSpace, an organization that creates 'permanent real estate solutions for the independent theater community'. IndieSpace was instrumental in finding The Tank's new home, and we'll be celebrating The Tank's home, history, and future with this exciting event. ???????The Artist Co-op, coworking space for performing artists, uniting New York City's actors directors, dancers, playwrights, and more, with programs and services to support the performing arts community, is announcing its Indiegogo campaign and new home in Midtown Manhattan.

Gideon Productions is honored to receive the Donn Russell Fund grant from the New York Innovative Theatre Foundation. This grant money will be used to support their upcoming production of Universal Robots, which will be presented by The Sheen Center in June 2016.

In response to participant feedback, the LIT Fund, the only charitable organization exclusively dedicated to the independent theatre sector of New York City, will be giving away five $1,000 grants this year to help companies and individuals pay artist fees.
