Poetic Theater Productions' Veteran Voices programming returns with Veteran Voices: Transformation, a national showcase of original work by military veterans and the family members of veterans from fourteen cities, nine states and the District of Columbia, and two countries.

Eden Theater Company will present The Living Room Plays as part of The Room Plays, a series of new 10-minute plays by emerging playwrights, created for and presented on Zoom.

The premiere of Socially Unacceptable, written by Matt Steinberg and directed by Ran Xia, will be presented on Zoom.

Abingdon Theatre Company (Chad Austin, Artistic Director) will begin the new decade in its 27th season by presenting its 'Around the Table Reading Series' a critical program serving the company's mission to create new work by emerging and established artists. The readings are free to the public and focus on challenging and thought-provoking subject matter.

The Tank (Meghan Finn, Artistic Director) in association with Lucy Powis and The Hodgepodge Group will present the World Premiere of Really Really Gorgeous, written by Nick Mecikalski and directed by Miranda Haymon at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues), January 23-February 9.

The Flea Theater will extend three acclaimed productions in MAC WELLMAN: PERFECT CATASTROPHES. This festival of plays by the influential vanguard playwright Mac Wellman runs through November 1. The final two plays in the festival -- a double bill of short one-acts The Sandalwood Box and The Fez -- open on October 5; and The Art of Stacking the Deck: A Mac Wellman Symposium exploring Wellman's profound impact on the American theater runs October 4 a?" 6.

The Tank will present its 2019-20 season at 312 West 36th Street in its 98-seat proscenium and 56-seat blackbox spaces. This season marks The Tank's 2nd anniversary in its home on West 36th Street and embodies the company's mission to break down economic barriers and invest in emerging artists by sustaining an incubator and home for the creation and presentation of their work.

The Flea Theater is proud to announce the addition of six new Resident Directors to its intensive practicum for early-career directors. Rebecca Aparicio, Jake Beckhard, Daniella Caggiano, Lauren DeLeon, Will Steinberger, and Raz Golden will join the current group of Resident Directors.

Eden Theater Company presents the inaugural production of Scrambled Porn by playwright/performance artist Brennen Vickery, which is an experimental play about why people build relationships only to destroy them-unearthing the fear and longing buried underneath it all. In the aftermath of their relationship, in the abyss of someone's front yard, Adam, Sam, and June try to prove why they couldn't be alone but can't stay together. At their individual mics like a busted En Vogue live set, the 'throuple' share the creation of their own suffering.

Access Theater is thrilled to announce the theater companies and artists who will join the Access community as 2018-2019 Resident Artists. The seven theater companies that will be in residence for the full year are: The Anthropologists, The Navigators, Rat Queen Theatre, Square One Collective, Tiny Trip, Upstream Artists' Collective, and Puss Collective. The individual artists who will spend six months as residents at Access include: Ashley Griffin, James Kennedy, Minhui Lee, Noam Shapiro and Paulo K Tirol, Ran Xia, Susanna Wolk and Justine Gelfman, Ty Defoe and Tidtaya Sinutoke, and Valerie L Work.

The Tank (Meghan Finn and Rosalind Grush, Artistic Directors) is turning off the lights for DarkFest 2018, a festival and environmental initiative celebrating innovative performances that utilize self-sufficient and alternative energy sources. Artists are using everything from glow-in-the-dark mouth guards to flashlights and more to shed some light on their work

Directed by Broadway performer and director, DeMone, this production has an immersive concept, leading the audience into a recreation of the subway atmosphere and seating audience directly in the train car. The Dionysian Collective, a group of actors and writers formed in 2016 in New York City, have created a literary journal, The Dionysian. Each issue publishes short plays selected through open submissions by playwrights from across the globe, interviews with established playwrights and theatre makers and art pieces from visual artists inspired by the curated plays. The Drama Book Shop hosts a free launch event with The Dionysian Collective to launch ISSUE 004, on its release date Today November 17, 2017 at 5pm. The evening will consist of readings from ISSUE 004, as well as an opportunity to purchase your own copy and meet the artists involved in the issue. Everyone is welcome to join The Dionysian family and help us 'Celebrate The Playwright' with wine, theatre and all things Dionysian. The Dionysian ISSUE 004 features work by female-identifying and non-binary artists including plays by Mariah MacCarthy, Anna Fox, Sofya Weitz, Gracie Garnder, Lia Romeo, Andra Gordon Gatica, Christl Stringer, Gina Femia, Kate Mulley, Ran Xia, Mallory Weiss, Shawna Wigney and Mandy Murphy (winner of The Dionysian Award for Best New Play at SheNYC Summer Theater Festival), with an essay by Addie Johnson Talbott and interviews with Susan Bernfield of New Georges, Laura Ramadei of Lesser America, Victoria Myers of The Interval and a 3-part interview about The Kilroys.
