Performances have begun for Center Theatre Group's production of "Archduke." Written by Rajiv Joseph, the world premiere of "Archduke" began previews April 25 and will continue through June 4, 2017, at the Mark Taper Forum. Opening night is set for May 7. Directed by Giovanna Sardelli, the cast includes, in alphabetical order, Josiah Bania, Joanne McGee, Ramiz Monsef, Patrick Page, Stephen Stocking and Todd Weeks. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the company onstage below!

The world premiere of Jon Robin Baitz's 'Vicuña,' directed by Robert Egan, recently opened at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City, just in time to present an interesting take on this year's presidential election happening next week. After show discussion revealed Baitz writes daily updates to the script, obviously influenced by the evolving political landscape, thus making the satire a very relevant tale of what might be happening behind the scenes in this year's hotly contested election.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival opens its outdoor theatre the weekend of June 13-15 with two Shakespeare productions, Richard III, directed by James Bundy, and The Two Gentlemen of Verona, directed by Sarah Rasmussen. Also opening is Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's musical Into the Woods, directed by Amanda Dehnert. The shows will close the weekend of October 10-12.
