2026 Slamdance Film Festival Unveils Full Lineup

The 2026 Slamdance Film Festival, the artist-led organization “by filmmakers, for filmmakers,” has unveiled its 2026 lineup. The festival will run in-person from February 19 to 25, 2026, and virtually from February 24 to March 6, 2026.

Prolific helmer Anthony Hemingway will be the recipient of the 2018 HollyShorts Film Festival Indie Maverick Award. He will be presented the Award during the festival's opening night celebration this Thursday August 9 at the TCL Chinese Theater. Past HollyShorts Indie Maverick honorees include Paul Haggis, David Lynch, Eli Roth, Joe Carnahan and Matthew Modine. The festival's opening night celebration will be hosted by Ben Lyons host of 'The Oscars: All Access' for Oscar.com and ABC News.

HBO's Game of Thrones will have a big star-studded night at HollyShorts opening night on Thursday August 9 at the TCL Chinese Theater. English actress Nathalie Emmanuel known for her role as Missandei in Game of Thrones is set to open the Oscar Qualifying 14th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival with her short film RUN. Emmanuel produced and stars in the epic sci fi short Directed by Alex Lanipekun.
