The magical world of artist Marc Chagall and his wife Bella will be tenderly brought to life onstage at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts (The Wallis) next month in director Emma Rice's production of Daniel Jamieson's The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk.  Partners in life and on canvas, Marc and Bella are immortalized as the picture of romance. On the painter's canvas they flew, but in real life they walked through some of the most challenging times in 20th Century history-navigating the devastation of war, the Russian Revolution and each other. Following the artistic heights of Brief Encounter and 946: The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips, Kneehigh and Rice return to The Wallis with a production that combines the visuals of Chagall's paintings with the music and dance of the Russian-Jewish tradition. Performances begin February 23 and run through Sunday, March 11, 2018 with opening night set for Saturday, February 24 at 7:30pm. The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk is made possible in part by the generous support of Camille and Arnon Adar. Little League will receive its world premiere from February 15th - March 2nd, 2018 as part of the 11th annual FRIGID Festival at the historic Kraine Theater, presented by Horse Trade Theater Group.  Little League is written by Jack Spagnola, produced by Lizzy Ana Lincoln, directed by Noam Shapiro, and Executive Produced by Three Hares.

Florida Repertory Theatre's 20th anniversary season continues with William Gibson's hopeful and uplifting true story, "The Miracle Worker," an American classic which was immortalized on the screen by Patty Duke and Anne Bancroft.

Cody Williams with Alysha Umphress. Stephen DeAngelis exclusively for Queens Theatre, will be presented for a limited two-performance run on February 17 at 8 pm and February 18 at 3 pm. Audiences will be treated to a romantic night with a musical score from across the spectrum of Broadway, pop, the American Songbook, and country music. Both performances will include personal stories from the cast and a lively question and answer session with the audience.

Pascal Rioult's RIOULT Dance NY, the American modern dance company with a European sensibility, announces its 2018 performance schedule. RIOULT kicks off the New Year with a season teaser performance at Manhattan Movement and Arts Center on January 19 at 7:30. Touring Consortium Theatre Company and Rose Theatre Kingston today announce the full company for Robert Louis Stevenson's Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde adapted for the stage by David Edgar. Joining the previously announced Phil Daniels as Jekyll/Hyde are Rosie Abraham (Lucy/Maid/Singer), Sam Cox (Poole), Polly Frame (Katherine Urquart), Anyebe Godwin (Charles), Ben Jones (Lanyon/Carew), Robin Kingsland (Gabriel John Utterson), Grace Hogg-Robinson (Annie Loder) and Matthew Romain (Enfield/Parson).

Queens Theatre (Taryn Sacramone, Executive Director) will present Broadway Valentine, a concert-style revue produced by Stephen DeAngelis exclusively for Queens Theatre, located at 14 United Nations Avenue South in Flushing Meadows Corona Park for two performances only on February 17 at 8pm and February 18 at 3pm.

The award-winning Titan Theatre Company announced today the cast and creative team for its upcoming World Premiere Translation of the Greek Tragedy, MEDEA. MEDEA will play a two-week limited engagement at Titan's home at Queens Theatre. Performances begin Friday, February 16th and continue through February 25th.

Hope Summer Repertory Theatre (HSRT) announced today that Lenny Banovez has been named Artistic Director heading into the 2018 Season. Banovez, who is also the Artistic Director of Titan Theatre Company, the Award winning & critically acclaimed theatre in Queens, joins the company after former Artistic Director David Colacci stepped down last fall after 25 years of service to the company. Because the two company's season schedules are complementary, Banovez will split time between Titan and HSRT, serving in New York from September through April and in Holland, Michigan May through August.

The Hearth (Artistic Directors Julia Greer and Emma Miller) will present the World Premiere of Gracie Gardner's female coming of age story, ATHENA, directed by Emma Miller

A new musical about environmental activist Rachel Carson will be presented Jan 19 and 20 at Union Congregational Church in Montclair. The award-winning project with music by Jared Field and book/lyrics by Jessie Field will be directed by Montclair's Ari Laura Kreith and produced by Theatre 167 as part of their 167 West: Art Into Action series.

In 2018, America and the world mark the 50th anniversary of the death of Martin Luther King Jr., even as the struggle to resolve racial tension remains a challenge for communities everywhere. Beginning January 12, L.A. Theatre Works commemorates the anniversary with a touring production of the internationally acclaimed play, The Mountaintop, written by Katori Hall, directed by multiple award-winner Shirley Jo Finney and starring Gilbert Glenn Brown (CBS TV's The Inspectors, upcoming feature film The Best of Enemies) and Karen Malina White (The Cosby Show, A Different World, Malcolm and Eddie). The production will travel to 38 cities across the United States.
