For the first time in its history, EVITA, this revolutionary Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice musical is being produced by Cabrillo Music Theatre. 

Five Chicago actor-musicians make their Theatre at the Center debut in the musical Pump Boys and Dinettes.  Christine Mild as Rhetta Cupp, Shaun Whitley as Jim, Matt Holzfeind as Jackson, Matt Edmonds as L.M. and Cody Siragusa as Eddie are joined by Veronica Garza, who returns to the TATC stage to play Rhetta's sister Prudie Cupp.   The director is Brian Russell and William Underwood is Music Director. 

The Show Palace presents Route 66, running August 27 - October 2, 2016. Directed by Matthew Belopavlovich & Steve Jones, the show is choreographed by Matthew Belopavlovich & Steve Jones and music directed by Clay Smith.

Second Star Theater will present the Jason Robert Brown musical, "The Last Five Years,"  starring Justin Williams and Alyssa Atkinson. When: Opening Thursday, August 18th @ 8:00 p.m.with shows running Friday, August 19th at 8:00 p.m and a matinee Sunday, August 21st at 2:00 p.m.

Kokandy Productions is pleased to celebrate its fifth anniversary with an expanded season featuring four fully produced musicals, including two Chicago premieres and two guest directors. The 2017/18 Season will also include numerous readings and workshops - adding fresh voices to Kokandy's "New Works Initiative" and emphasizing the company's commitment to becoming an increasingly relevant part of Chicagoland's musical theater and new work development communities. The new season also marks Kokandy's transition to a not-for-profit organization.

With performances only beginning last week, David Mirvish and The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers are delighted to announce that popular demand for the Canadian premiere production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL is once again forcing them to extend its run, this time through November 27, 2016. 

Kokandy Productions presents the funny, intimate and moving musical TOMORROW MORNING with book, music and lyrics by Laurence Mark Wythe, directed by Co-Artistic Director John D. Glover, music direction by Kory Danielson and choreography by Cameron Turner.

?WaterTower Theatre Managing Director Gregory Patterson and Associate Artistic Director Kelsey Leigh Ervi today announced the directors for the upcoming 2016-2017 WaterTower Theatre Main Stage Season in The Canterbury Family Main Stage at the Addison Theatre Centre.   Directing the season opener, Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash (October 7- 30, 2016) is B.J. Cleveland with Musical Direction by Sonny Franks.  Next up, the regional premiere of Silent Sky (January 20-February 12, 2017) will be directed by Kelsey Leigh Ervi.  The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens, and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord (April 14-May 7, 2017) will be directed by Emily Scott Banks.  Rene Moreno will return to direct Native Gardens (June 2- 25, 2017). Sunday in the Park With George (July 28-August 20, 2017) will be directed by Terry Martin, with Musical Direction by Jeff Lankov.

Theater for the New City's award-winning Street Theater Company will open its 40th annual tour August 6 with 'Election Selection, or You Bet!,' a rip-roaring musical in which three everyday New Yorkers are galvanized into community activists. Free performances will tour City streets, parks and playgrounds throughout the five boroughs through September 18. Book, lyrics and direction are by Crystal Field; the musical score is composed and arranged by Joseph Vernon Banks. (Schedule follows at bottom of this document.)

Starring a cast of acclaimed Canadian musical theatre performers in principal roles and three exciting young talents sharing the title role, MATILDA THE MUSICAL is produced by The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers presented in Toronto by David Mirvish as part of his 2015-16 Main Subscription Season. Performances begin Tuesday July 5 at the Ed Mirvish Theatre, with the media night scheduled forThursday, July 7 at 6:45 PM. Tickets are now available for performances until October 16, 2016.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today that Debra Monk will play the title role in VISITING EDNA, a world premiere play by David Rabe, directed by Steppenwolf Artistic Director Anna D. Shapiro.

The Colorado Theatre Guild's 11th Annual Henry Awards will take place Monday, July 18, 2016 at the PACE Center, 20000 Pikes Peak Avenue in Parker, Colorado. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the awards ceremony will begin at 7 p.m., followed by an after-party. Tickets are $23 for CTG members (limit 2 per person online with the code Henry2016), $30 non-members or $50 VIP. Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz, the producing partners behind MNM Productions, today named the five-person cast of THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND, a musical revue showcasing the music of legendary Broadway songwriters John Kander and Fred Ebb, including such audience favorite tunes as All That Jazz, My Coloring Book and New York, New York. Conceived by David Thompson, Scott Ellis and Susan Stroman, the show will run for 15 performances at the Kravis Center's Rinker Playhouse in West Palm Beach, starting on Thursday, August 4, 2016.

The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company launches its 80th anniversary season with an epic musical adventure. MAN OF LA MANCHA begins performances on JUNE 28 with all of the fanfare one would expect from Vermont's longest-running professional theatre company.
