Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's (Cylindrical Shadows) critically-acclaimed signature piece, Before After, a PNB premiere, unmasks the turmoil just before a relationship ends. The performance closes with Debonair, a world premiere by New York City Ballet's rising star Justin Peck, praised for 'electrifying classical dance with [his] fresh vision' (Wall Street Journal). The program also includes a musical prelude to shine the spotlight on the nationally renowned PNB Orchestra, currently celebrating its 25th Anniversary season. The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) paid tribute to the winners and honorees of the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards in collaboration with Swarovski at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center. Film director and screenwriter John Waters was the host for the evening. For the thirteenth year in a row, the evening was generously underwritten by Swarovski.

Swarovski announced its line-up of Swarovski Collective designers who will be showcasing their Autumn/Winter 2014 collections during New York Fashion Week. Selected for their creative flair and ability to demonstrate exquisite craftsmanship with crystal, the Collective designers receive financial support as well as the opportunity to experiment with Swarovski's extraordinary crystal range.

The 71st AnnuAl Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for the second year in a row, aired last night, January 12, 2014, LIVE coast-to-coast on NBC from the Beverly Hilton. When it came to last night's fashion, the women really delivered. The red carpet was filled with a lot of black and white dresses, reds as well as some silvers and nudes. Unlike other years, only a few women chose a bright color dress.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America elected three new members to its board earlier this month. They include Ashley Olsen, Deborah Lloyd and Prabal Gurung. These three are succeeding Yeohlee Teng, Kenneth Cole and Isabel Toledo, who now have Emeritus Board Member status.

On Monday, November 11 the CFDA and Vogue announced the recipients of the tenth annual awards from the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund (CVFF).

I am at a loss with this look. I love Amy Adams, I really do. But I don't know what to make of this lavender Prabal Gurung dress. Let's start with her hair and makeup and work down from there. Okay, the hair - love! Its simple, clean and chic. And her makeup is fun and daring with the blue smokey eyes. From the shoulders up, this look is a huge wow for me. But then I get really confused.

New York City Ballet's annual Fall Gala will celebrate dance and fashion with three world premiere ballets, and costumes designed by some of the fashion world's most exciting talents. The one-time-only gala evening will take place tonight, September 19, 2013, and this year's participants include choreographers Benjamin Millepied, in collaboration with the Dutch designer Iris van Herpen; Justin Peck, who will create a new ballet featuring costumes by the acclaimed New York-based fashion designer Prabal Gurung; and Angelin Preljocaj, who will work with Olivier Theyskens, the Belgian-born designer who is the Artistic Director of the American fashion house Theory.

New York City Ballet will open its 2013-2014 season tonight, September 17 with six performances of Peter Martins' full-length production of Swan Lake. Set to Tschaikovsky's score and featuring sets and costumes by the acclaimed Danish painter Per Kirkeby, the production was last performed by NYCB in the fall of 2011 to sold-out houses.
