Due to popular demand, BalletBoyz have announced a second leg of their UK tour of LIFE, during which the award-winning company will be joined by a brand new member. The production, which received its world premiere at London's Sadler's Wells in April of this year to widespread critical acclaim, initially toured over April and May.

American Dance Institute (ADI), continuing to find new ways to support contemporary dance artists, is presenting performances in New York City for the first time this summer, offering five premieres over the course of five weeks at The Kitchen. The Royal Swedish Ballet, one of Europe's first and most revered ballet companies, returns to Segerstrom Center for the Arts today, June 10 through June 12 with the West Coast debut of Juliet and Romeo by choreographer Mats Ek.

The Martha Graham Dance Company announces the promotion of five Company members for the 2016-17 season. Abdiel Jacobsen and Xin Ying have been promoted to Principal Dancer, and Charlotte Landreau, Lloyd Mayor, and Lorenzo Pagano have been promoted to Soloist.

Known for its dominating heroines and intense psychosexual dramas, The Martha Graham Dance Company at the age of 90 has come to resemble a bevy of rail thin beauties who alternate between striking lovely poses and engaging in repetitive calisthenics.

On Monday, April 18, the Martha Graham Dance Company celebrated its 90th anniversary with a special Gala performance at New York City Center followed by dinner and dancing for 250 guests at a private venue in Manhattan.

New York City Ballet will open its 2016-17 Season at Lincoln Center on Tuesday, September 20, and will continue for 21-weeks of performances, through Sunday, May 28, and feature a total of 77 ballets created by 24 different choreographers.

The New School's newly formed College of Performing Arts, led by"firebrand" (New York Times) Executive Dean Richard Kessler, is pleased to announce winter-spring public programming highlights for the College's three schools: Mannes School of Music, The School of Jazz and The School of Drama. Performances will take place at the College's new performing arts hub-designed by Deborah Berke Partners at Arnhold Hall (55 West 13th Street)-as well as at The New School's Tishman Auditorium at University Center (63 Fifth Avenue), The Theater at the School of Drama (151 Bank Street) and venues throughout the city. The season will feature several of Martha Graham's most important masterworks, including Chronicle (1936), Appalachian Spring (1944), Cave of the Heart (1946), Lamentation (1930), and Night Journey (1947).

BalletBoyz have announced they will tour their brand new production Life, which will receive its world premiere at London's Sadler's Wells in April 2016.  The show features new commissions by Javier de Frutos and Pontus Lidberg. After opening at Sadler's Wells where BalletBoyz are Associate Artists, the production will embark on a UK tour, followed by a tour of the USA in 2017. The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company celebrates its 90th anniversary season with four extraordinary programs at New York City Center, April 14?18, 2016. The New York season will feature four of Martha Graham's most important masterworks - Appalachian Spring, Chronicle, Cave of the Heart, and Night Journey - alongside new works created for the Company by internationally acclaimed choreographers Marie Chouinard, Mats Ek, and Pontus Lidberg. Performances will take place Thursday to Saturday, April 14?16, at 8:00pm, with a special gala program at 7:00pm on Monday, April 18, the anniversary of Graham's first public performance with her Concert Group in 1926.

Fire Island Dance Festival returned for its 21st edition July 17-19, 2015, with some of the most talked-about world-class dance companies, raising a record-breaking $544,555 for Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
