The premise of Waiting for Godot was simple. Two bums in a desolate landscape. A tree. Odd visitors. The lack of an over-dressed stage, sans an incredible screen for setting sun and luminous moon, made all eyes affixed to the talented actors.

Actor, comedian, writer and storyteller Stephen Fry takes to the Festival Theatre stage with Mythos: A Trilogy - Gods. Heroes. Men. During his limited engagement at the Shaw Festival, Stephen will perform each of his three shows 13 times - giving audiences 39 chances to catch this world premiere event. Helmed by the Shaw Festival's Artistic Director Tim Carroll, Mythos is on stage May 24 to July 15.

The Cabaret Room at Drury Lane Theatre announces The Summer Series featuring some of Chicago's top cabaret artists in unforgettable limited engagements at Drury Lane's intimate Cabaret Room. The Summer Series will include performances by Chicago's Cabaret Queen Denise Tomasello (August 3 and 4), Beckie Menzie and Tom Michael (August 17 and 18), and Joan Curto (August 24 and 25). Performances will be held on Friday and Saturday evenings in the Cabaret Room at Drury Lane Theatre located at 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.

The National Theatre of Great Britain's Olivier and Tony Award-winning production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME will tour Australia for the first time from June 2018. Due to popular demand an extra week has been added to the Sydney season with the production now playing until Saturday 28 July. New York City Ballet's Centennial Celebration at the Koch Theater in Lincoln Center of the 100th anniversary of Jerome Robbins' birth honors the prodigiously gifted dancemaker, the company's Co-Founding Choreographer, with a ballet lover's feast of five programs from May 3rd to May 20th 2018. The run include two world premieres as well as 20 ballets by Robbins. He died in 1998 at the age of 80, but “Robbins 100” shows beyond a doubt that his legacy endures.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Wild Young Hearts: The Marcus Scott Songbook on May 24, 2018 at 9:30 PM. The concert explores the world of what Scott calls 'Afro-Americana' and what it could be through his music and lyrics. The centerpiece of the concert is Scott's show Cherry Bomb (2017 Drama League First Stage in Artist Residence and Finalist for National Black Theater's I am Soul and Yale Institute for Musical Theatre's residencies), an original musical that tells the story of an ambitious young man and the depths he and his high school friends will go to in ensuring that they and their dreams have a place in the world.

Core Dance, the award-winning contemporary dance organization based in Decatur, GA and Houston, TX, will present EnCORE Dance on Film on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 5:00-10:00p.m. at Core Studios, 139 Sycamore Street, Decatur Square. The event is part of ArtWALK at the Decatur Arts Festival, and features dance works specifically choreographed for the camera from around the world.
