Serenbe Playhouse, recipient of the prestigious American Theatre Wing grant, and named one of the Top 20 theatres in the nation by Playbill, is pleased to present DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID. Directed by Ryan Oliveti, the show opens on March 30th and runs to April 22nd. DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID will be produced at The Grange Lake in Serenbe.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) Artistic Director Bill Rauch announced the Festival's 2019 playbill today. The season, which will be Rauch's last at the artistic helm, celebrates Shakespeare, classics and new plays, including two American Revolutions commissions and a pilot Community Visit Project that will take a bilingual Play on! translation into community venues throughout the region.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 19 categories for the 33rd Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be presented on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST.  This year's event will be hosted by actors Laura Benanti and Jason Jones and will once again serve as a benefit for The Actors Fund.

Tickets are now on sale for the 63rd Annual Drama Desk Awards, and can be purchased at www.DramaDeskAwards.com, it was announced today by Charles Wright, President of the Drama Desk, and Gretchen Shugart, President of Arts and Culture of AudienceView, which will present the awards ceremony. This year's Drama Desk Awards will be held on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 at 8:00 PM at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street).

All good epic adventures begin somewhere. A new adaptation of C.S. Lewis's The Magician's Nephew by Michael O'Brien makes its world premiere and opens the Shaw Festival's 2018 season. Under the direction of Artistic Director Tim Carroll, the creative team and cast bring the story of Narnia's origins and its mythical multiverse to the Festival Theatre stage.

Very rarely do you hear of new ways to invest in, or contribute to, the theater. Something surprised me recently however--on the website for the off-Broadway commercial production of THE STONE WITCH, you can make a tax deductible donation to the Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) and have the money go to THE STONE WITCH. According to producers Laura Janik Cronin and Darlene Kaplan, the money goes not to increase BTG's share of the profits, but rather to keep the show afloat.

Now entering its 28th year, Broadway Theatre Project (BTP), a program described by Playbill as "The world's most prestigious musical theatre arts education program for high school and college students", announces Kim Morgan Greene will join the visiting faculty team. BTP faculty range from professional dancers and choreographers to vocal coaches and directors.

The Greenhouse Theater Center is pleased to conclude its 2017-18 season with the Chicago premiere of Marc Acito's touching and humorous play BIRDS OF A FEATHER, directed by Artistic Director Jacob Harvey. Based on one of America's most banned books, Acito's hit comedy brings to life the story of the Central Park Zoo's gay penguins to tell a truly hilarious human story. BIRDS OF A FEATHER will play April 27 - June 10, 2018 at Greenhouse Theater Center (Upstairs Main Stage), 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago.

The Three Little Pigs and The Ugly Duckling and its all-adult cast will delight children ages 3 to 9 while entertaining their families in the 20th season of the Hudson Theatre Ensemble Children's Series Silly on Sixth.

Acclaimed singer/songwriter, guitarist and playwright Benjamin Scheuer is set to perform his award-winning one-man show, THE LION, at The Sheen Center for Thought and Culture in New York City on April 30. Proceeds from the special one-night-only performance will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Only slightly rushed, Katori Hall's THE MOUNTAINTOP arrives in style at its divine and visionary destinations in Actor's Theatre of Charlotte's production, directed by April Jones.
