The National Theatre of Great Britain's Olivier and Tony Award®-winning production of THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME has opened in Brisbane (playing until 24 June) as part of an Australian tour including Canberra from 27 June, Sydney from 4 July, Adelaide from 31 July and Perth from 8 August. The tour comes after an acclaimed sell-out debut season in Melbourne earlier in the year and an Asian tour.

Corkscrew Theater Festival presents Field, Awakening, written by Melis Aker and directed by Tatiana Pandiani. Running July 14-22, Field, Awakening is a political drama set in Turkey in 2016, where a group of high school friends reunites at a soccer field on the evening of an attempted military coup. As the night progresses, the friends unexpectedly find themselves at the center of international strife, and they begin to realize that the Turkey they called home may be rapidly disappearing. Performed by Kieron Anthony, Ayse Babahan, Jamar Brathwaite, Sinan Eczacibasi*, Fahim Hamid*, and Nazli Sarpkaya, Field, Awakening is the second production in the second annual season of Corkscrew Theater Festival, a new summer theater festival that provides early-career artists with a high level of production support.

Ben Strothmann will star in Coming Clean, his first solo play, on Friday, June 22 at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 27 at 7:30pm at the Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street, New York City) as part of the Queerly Festival. Coming Clean will be directed by Mark Finley.

Running July 12-22, The End of Mermaids is a sinister comedy about a group of women striving to achieve true beauty through their performances at a failing mermaid theme park, while under siege from an impatient, hungry alligator. The play includes several 'underwater performance' sequences, brought to life by inventive set, costume, lighting, and sound design. Robert Lepage makes a thrilling Stratford Festival debut with Shakespeare's Coriolanus, featuring Andre Sills in the title role. Created in collaboration with Ex Machina, the production begins previews this Saturday, June 9, at the Avon Theatre, and runs until October 20, marking its official opening on June 22.

The internationally acclaimed play The Baroness and the Pig by Canadian Michael Mackenzie - based on the characters created by Catherine Fitch and Marion Day - begins its run at the Jackie Maxwell Studio Theatre on June 10. Directed by Selma Dimitrijevic, this comically savage two-hander subtly cuts to the core of what it means to be "civilized" - and to be human.

The Stratford Festival presents the world premiere of Bronte: The World Without, Jordi Mand's engrossing new play about the famous literary sisters, Charlotte, Emily and Anne Bronte. Directed by Vanessa Porteous, and featuring Beryl Bain, Jessica B. Hill and Andrea Rankin, the production begins previews today at the Studio Theatre.

The Shaw Festival proudly presents the world premiere of Sarena Parmar's The Orchard (After Chekhov) - a moving, modern Canadian reworking of Anton Chekhov's kaleidoscopic play The Cherry Orchard. Ravi Jain directs this fresh adaptation about a Punjabi-Sikh family fighting to save their orchard from foreclosure in early 1970's Canada. The Orchard (After Chekhov) begins previews June 7 at the Jackie Maxwell Studio Theatre. ?

The new stars of Queer Eye on Netflix have yet to make a splash in the Big Apple, but five Broadway actors parody the roles of the "Fab Five" with their new project: 2018 Tony Award Nominee Grey Henson currently starring as Damian in Mean Girls on Broadway.

Grease has been a part of the American musical theater vernacular for so long - it opened in Chicago some 47 years ago in the halcyon days of 1971 - that it's easy to overlook the show's impact on theater, in general, and audiences, in particular. Its multiple revivals on Broadway, in regional theater and in various community theater and high school drama settings probably makes you believe you've seen in far more often than you actually have (unless, of course, you watch the film treatment with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John over and over).

Directed by Joe Mantello and produced by Ryan Murphy and David Stone, The Boys in the Band officially opens on Broadway tonight. Let's see what the critics had to say!

Today this father of two and grandfather of six, who made his Carnegie Hall conducting debut in 2005, is now the patriarch of a three-generation musical dynasty.

Hello, again.  Columbus was glutton for punishment when THE BOOK OF MORMON returned to the Ohio Theatre for another blasphemous yet gut-wrenchingly hilarious week of musical theatre genius.  This time, the audience was snickering and giggling while they shuffled in their seats before the show even began. They knew they were about to embark on a show that can say "F-You, God" and still have the Mormon church take out a full page ad in the Playbill.  This is the brilliance of South Park writers, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, along with AVENUE Q co-creator Robert Lopez, who can cleverly win over people of all faith by poking fun at the Mormons with crass language that borders sacrilege. Why? Because at its core is a heartfelt story of brotherhood and self-discovery with lovable young men finding their way in a world ruled by uniformity and restriction.
