Productions and plays from Ireland face off against several homegrown New York productions as the 12th annual Origin 1st Irish Theatre Festival hands out its awards at a closing night ceremony at Rosie O'Grady's Manhattan Club, 800 Seventh Avenue, on Monday February 3 at 6:30pm.

'The 8th', a play written and directed by Seanie Sugrue, Produced by Locked in the Attic and Five OHM Productions opened on January 7th, 2020 and played to a sold-out audience throughout the entire run that will end on January 18, 2020 at The Secret Theatre in L.I.C.

Origin Theatre Company concludes its 15th season of producing the American premieres of plays by emerging European playwrights at its annual spring gala on Monday May 14, at 6:30pm. On December 2nd, Believe Theatrical will host the first public reading of Rebecca Gilman's screenplay adaptation of Blue Surge at the Pater Jay Sharp Theater, 416 West 42nd Street. Michael Walker (Price Check) will direct the stellar NYC cast to be led by Rachel Brosnahan (House of Cards) and to include Jayce Bartok (The Cake Eaters), Phil Burke (Hell on Wheels) and Kate White (Fall to Rise), Autumn Dornfeld (Law & Order), Katy Wright-Mead (The Knick) and Patrick James Lynch (Peter & The Star Catcher) among others.
