Singer and actress Gia Mora will sing the songs of Hoagy Carmichael on Sunday, March 4, 2018 as part of the Cabaret On Sundays Series presented by Les Michaels at the Arthur Newman Theatre at The Joslyn Center in Palm Desert. Tickets for Gia Mora in "The Cool, Cool, Cool, of The Evening" with Rick Chinisci on guitar are available for $15 cash only at the door.

Get Groovy with a Girl Power Musical!! Maplewood Playhouse follows up their all male coming of age musical Glory Days, with the all-female production, SHOUT! The Mod Musical, a celebration of all things swingin' '60s. A cultural mish-mash from go-go boots to the pill, a hilarious 'Dear Abby' column and a rainbow of fun. Continuing the first season of live theater in the Lake Park Art's District, SHOUT! The Mod Musical opens February 16th at the Kelsey Theater.

New Work For The Stage: Sundance Institute And MASS MoCA Announce Theatre Lab Projects

Four projects representing diverse world voices, each with bold and independent visions of how art can elevate the human experience, comprise this year's selected projects for the two-week Sundance Institute Theatre Lab at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA), convening December 3-17, 2017, with a public performance of another project slated for December 9. The Theatre Labs process is rigorous and generative. Dedicated to the creation and development of forward-thinking theater; projects are cast individually, rehearsed daily and benefit from concentrated, uninterrupted time and resources.
