Rock Sensation June Millington to Perform on Wednesday, December 13th

Beginning at 7:30pm, June Millington, known especially as the guitarist in the band Fanny, will read from her book "Land of a Thousand Bridges ~ Island Girl in a Rock 'n Roll World" and play live with drummer Lee Madeloni. Fanny was one of the first all-female hard-rock bands to sign with a major record label and easily the most successful with four hits on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in the early 1970s

June co-founded and currently teaches at the Institute for the Musical Arts, a non-profit institute for women and girls in music whose goal is to play it fotward in every way they can to future generations. With four Rock 'n Roll Girl's Camps each summer at "The Magical Queendom", one of them a Recording Camp, IMA is an ongoing success story that has built itself from the ground up since 1987. All profits from "Land of a Thousand Bridges" and this performance go to support IMA's programming.

All female cover band Lez Zeppelin will perform to finish out the night. Doors open at 6:30pm, tickets begin at $20 and can be purchased here, tickets.thecuttingroomnyc.com/event/1599716-june-millington-lez-zeppelin-new-york.
