Matthew Morrison couldn't be more 'Glee'-ful about launching Bay Area Cabaret's 15th Anniversary Season on Sept. 30 at the world-famous Venetian Room at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. 'I love places that have so much history,' says the Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee. Among the celebrated singers who've sung there: Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Marlene Dietrich, Peggy Lee and Tina Turner. And in 1961, Tony Bennett first performed 'I Left My Heart in San Francisco' there, which is especially apt since the Fairmont sits high upon Nob Hill, 'where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars.'

Patti Page is being celebrated October 12 9:30PM at Green Room 42 as part of Blake Allen's 'An Evening With...' series. Called 'an important vehicle for musical preservation' (BroadwayWorld), the series is committed to honoring and educating audiences about the music of America from the early-mid part of the 20th century by setting these celebrated works with notable contemporary voices and new arrangements. 

State Theatre New Jersey presents Tony Award-winning actor Alan Cumming in his new show Legal Immigrant on Saturday, September 29, 2018, 8pm. In addition to the show, all ticket buyers for Legal Immigrant are welcomed to come early for a pre-show Pride Night reception from 7pm-8pm in the second floor lobby of the State Theatre. Ballet legend Wendy Whelanjoins a one-of-a-kind lineup of dance offering a remarkable range of styles at this year's Hudson Valley Dance Festivalon Saturday, October 6, 2018, in Catskill, NY. The ever youthful Linda Purl - star of stage, screen, and television - brought summer to a close with her show 'Big Band Romance' at Feinstein's/54 Below in midtown Manhattan.

Renowned actress and singer Linda Purl, best known for 'Happy Days', 'Matlock' and 'The Office' will make her solo cabaret debut at Feinstein's 54 Below on September  4th and 5th with her sensational new show 'Big Band Romance' featuring the all- female Diva Jazz Orchestra.

Rebecca Angel will appear at THE RIVER SPIRIT MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL next Saturday, September 8th. The show will take place at Grove Stage from 3:45-4:15pm.

Blake Allen, known for his innovative bridging of contemporary music and theater through composition, is committed to honoring and educating audiences about the music of America from the early-mid part of the 20th century through An Evening With… musical series. The Green Room 42 Presents: An Evening With... The Sherman Brothers, curated and orchestrated by Blake Allen is the third installment of this important series and will take place on July 20 at 9:30 p.m. inside the Times Square Yotel. By setting these celebrated works with notable contemporary voices through the "An Evening With…" series has become an important vehicle for musical preservation.
