The New Group just celebrated its 20th Anniversary Season with a one-night-only benefit reading of Jonathan Marc Sherman's Things We Want, reuniting director Ethan Hawke with the complete original cast of the critically-acclaimed 2007 world premiere production at The New Group: Paul Dano, Peter Dinklage, Josh Hamilton and Zoe Kazan. This special event took place last night, January 5 at The New Group at The Pershing Square Signature Center (TheAlice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street). Lily James and Paul Dano to Lead BBC's WAR AND PEACE

Widely regarded as one of the greatest novels of all time, War And Peace will be told over six one hour episodes. Director Tom Harper (The Scouting Book For Boys, Peaky Blinders, Woman In Black: Angel Of Death) will bring this classic to life for a modern audience on a truly epic scale in what Davies calls 'a thrilling, funny and heartbreaking story of love, war and family life'.

The highly anticipated film INTO THE WOODS had its premiere Monday night, December 8th at New York's City's Ziegfeld Theatre. The film hits theaters on December 25th, is a modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters' wishes and quests. The CSO Performs BEETHOVEN & DON QUIXOTE This Weekend

Beethoven's most engaging symphony shares a program with Strauss' wise, compelling tone poem tracing the whimsical adventures of an aging, chivalrous Spanish knight, and sensuous, rollicking selections from Falla's ballet The Three-Cornered Hat. Led by guest conductor Andrew Grams, the program will feature the CSO's principal cello Luis Biava and principal viola Karl Pedersen.

Featuring Nick Flynn, author of, most recently, The Replacements, and Another Bullshit Night in Suck City; Elizabeth Kadetsky, author of the memoir First There Is a Mountain, Darin Strauss, author of Chang & Engand the National Book Critics Circle Award winning memoir Half a Life; and Rachel Zucker, author of MOTHERs andThe Pedestrians. Alex Breaux and Madeline Weinstein Join Roundabout's THE REAL THING

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced additional casting for The Real Thing, starring Ewan McGregor as 'Henry,' Maggie Gyllenhaal as 'Annie,' Cynthia Nixon as 'Charlotte' and Josh Hamilton as 'Max.' Tom Stoppard's Tony Award-winning play The Real Thing, directed by Sam Gold begins preview performances on Thursday, October 2, 2014 and opens officially on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42ndStreet). This is a limited engagement. The cast also includes Alex Breaux as 'Brodie' and Madeline Weinstein as 'Debbie.' Final casting to be announced.

BWW Interviews: WHAT IF Director Michael Dowse Discusses Working with Stage Vets Daniel Radcliffe, Zoe Kazan

I recently spoke to the director of 'What If,' Michael Dowse, about the film's intelligent, cliche-defying approach to the familiar Rom-Com genre, and directing actors with extensive stage experience like Radcliffe, Kazan, and Driver.
