Local author captivates with new thriller 'Street Light' ... the third book of an award-winning coming-of-age trilogy.
'Street Light' (CreateSpace, June 2015, $12.99) R.L. Herron's third book in a trilogy about growing up in the turbulent Vietnam War era, begins with Paul Barrett, a gifted writer and former Vietnam veteran, emerging from his self-imposed seclusion after the early loss of his beloved wife, to attend the wedding of two childhood friends.
The first book in the series, 'Reichold Street,' (amzn.to/1fdau9u) a 2012 Readers Favorite Gold Medal Winner that presented a realistic, coming-of-age drama about growing up in those turbulent times, introduced the world to Paul and his young friends, and was a book Kirkus Reviews called 'Skillfully written and emotionally charged.'
'One Way Street,' (amzn.to/1mRW163) the historically accurate sequel to that first book, detailed Paul Barrett's own service time in the war, his subsequent reacquaintance to the normal world, and related the horrifying tale of the murderous stalker psychopath who destroyed his young marriage.
In 'Street Light,' (amzn.to/1TmzsUg) the final book of the trilogy, old friends reunite and discover that not all evil is to be found in war. Some of it walks on the streets of home.
