The Metropolitan Community Theatre Project's THE FANTASTICKS features a strong cast and a whole lotta love.

With New York's recent closure of the longest running musical in the world, Metropolitan Performing Arts (MPA) imagines this classic tale by bringing it to audiences in Portland, Oregon. The Fantasticks, written by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt, is as much about a love affair as it is a nod to the magic of theater itself.

Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy (MPAA) is proud to present Patricia Gray's stage adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's timeless tale of magic, treasure, and dragons. The Hobbit follows the quest of Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo's easy-going life is altered when he makes an out-of-character decision to join forces with a curious wizard and throng of dwarves to reclaim their town of Dale.

A pair of radical feminist ex-strippers scour the USA on a murderous rampage against right-wing pro-life conservatives, documenting their exploits online in explicit detail. Meanwhile, a slacker screenwriter named Owen tries to bang out his magnum opus in a hotel room as his best friend holds forth on rape and other manly enterprises. Paul Angelo directs the Portland Premiere of this surreal, darkly comic play that The New Yorker describes as "variously a rant, a riff, a rumble - about our notions of naturalism, objectification, perversity, and beauty. I am running out of superlatives to describe the productions at Post5 Theatre. EQUIVOCATION is a phenomenal play, and this is a phenomenal production.
