American Ballet Theatre Studio Company Spring Festival, a two-night virtual showcase of filmed performances by 15 dancers of ABT Studio Company, will take place on Wednesday, June 2 and Thursday, June 3 at 7pm ET, streaming for free on ABT’s YouTube channel. The evenings will be hosted by Misty Copeland.

The ABT Studio Company Spring Festival was filmed at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park in Tivoli, New York following the Studio Company’s spring bubbles in March and April 2021 at Kaatsbaan and the Silver Bay YMCA Conference & Family Retreat Center in Silver Bay, New York. All works were created, rehearsed, and filmed following strict COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

Kaatsbaan Cultural Park has expanded the musical component of its Spring Festival curated by Oliver Ray. Visitors now have an additional opportunity to see Patti Smith. Her May 22 tribute to Bob Dylan’s upcoming 80th birthday quickly sold out.

Kaatsbaan Cultural Park has curated a dynamic program of leading artists from the worlds of dance, music, poetry, sculpture, and the culinary arts for its inaugural Spring Festival. Taking place during the last two weekends in May, the festival will feature 16 presentations on two outdoor stages. 

Patti Smith will perform an afternoon of poetry and music as part of the ongoing statewide NY PopsUp festival currently taking place all over New York State.

The Bronx Museum, Queens Museum, and the Brooklyn Museum hosted dance performances featuring Ayodele Casel, Amanda Castro, Anthony Morigerato, John Manzari, Anastasia Victory, and Senfu.
