For its 36th season Undermain presents works from three award-winning mavericks of the American theatre in three premieres and a festival of new work. Season 36 will bring a world premiere science fiction thriller, a regional premiere of a blistering comedy of well-intentioned manners and an adaptation of a literary classic from a seminal writer of the American avant-garde in its first regional premiere, as well as the third installment of our festival of new American play readings, Whither Goest Thou America. From WTT's hilarious PR over the last month I knew what I would find in the space: a catholic schoolchurch basement filled with debaucherous puppetry.  What I didn't know, however, was how compellingly performed and joyously inquisitive Joanie Schultz's staging would be.

WaterTower Theatre Artistic Director, Joanie Schultz, today announced casting and creative team details for the remainder of the 2017-2018 Main Stage Season, which includes the Regional Premiere of Elliot, A Soldier's Fugue by Quiara Alegr a Hudes, Bread, a World Premiere by Regina Taylor, The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown, and the Regional Premiere of Hand to God by Robert Askins. The directors for the remainder of the Season include David Lozano, Leah C. Gardiner, Kelsey Leigh Ervi, and Joanie Schultz.

The Almighty is back, and he's ready to kick butt and take names, in David Javerbaum's An Act of God, a hilarious, no holds barred, irreverent and critically-acclaimed new play beginning a 5-week area premiere run at Fort Worth's Stage West on Thursday, November 30, starring local favorite B. Undermain Theatre presents GALILEO, Bertolt Brecht's masterpiece, which he translated in English in collaboration with Charles Laughton.  GALILEO will be produced at Undermain's home in Deep Ellum - 3200 Main St. with company member Bruce DuBose in the title role.  DuBose is a recipient of Best Actor awards from the Dallas Critics Forum, D Magazine and the Dallas Observer.  Directed by Undermain's Artistic Director, Katherine Owens, opening night will be Today, February 11th with a curtain time of 7:30 pm.  Preview performances will be on February 8th, 9th, and 10th at 7:30 pm. All preview performances are only $15. All evening show times are 7:30 pm with two Sunday matinee performances at 2:00 pm on February 19th and March 5th.  The production will run through March 5th.
