On March 2, 2013, Olney Theatre Center will host the Diamond Gala, a black-tie fundraising event celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Olney Theatre Center. The event will include a cocktail hour, a seated dinner, live musical performances from Olney favorites George Dvorsky (Annie, The Sound of Music), Jessica Lauren Ball (1776, Grease, The Sound of Music, Cinderella), Donna Migliaccio (The Sound of Music, Cinderella), Caitlin Deerin (Annie), Parker Drown (Grease, Cinderella, Spring Awakening), MaryLee Adams (Spring Awakening) and Bobby Smith (Annie, The Sound of Music, Little Shop of Horrors), as well as silent and live auctions. Funds raised from the event will support Olney's artistic and educational programming which reaches over 100,000 audience members a year in Maryland and nationwide.

Olney Theatre Center, the award-winning, year-round arts and entertainment destination, announces the cast of their upcoming production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic musical Cinderella. With memorable songs such as "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible," and "Ten Minutes Ago" Cinderella runs on Olney Theatre Center's Mainstage from November 14 to December 30, 2012.
Minor quibbles aside, Forum Theatre has opened its season strong with this play. I hope Michael Dove keeps on this path of premiering new plays that raise important questions. It's needed.

November has over 60 more openings in the professional, community, universities, and children's theaters in the DC/MD/VA area.
