March 9, 2010 was my first night at the hallowed halls of the Carlyle. And it was one of the most amazing nights of my life, ever.

Erich Steinbock (Managing Director) is pleased to welcome Tony Award-winner Lea Salonga (Miss Saigon) to the Café Carlyle to make her New York cabaret debut in an exclusive three-week engagement. 'The Journey So Far' began performances on Tuesday, March 9 and will play through Saturday, March 27.

Tony Award winner Lea Salonga and television and film actor George Takei starred in the by invitation only NYC staged reading of new American musical ALLEGIANCE (produced by Lorenzo Thione and Sing Out, Louise! Productions) held Monday, February 22, 2010 at Playwrights Horizon.

It has only been a few short months since new American musical, ALLEGIANCE, had its first staged reading in Los Angeles, California. Its original stars, Lea Salonga ('Miss Saigon,' 'Flower Drum Song') and George Takei ('Heroes,' 'Star Trek'), accompanied by the musical's creators, new cast members and artistic staff, are now bringing ALLEGIANCE to New York City for its second staged reading on Monday, February 22, 2010.

The Atlanta Lyric Theatre presents Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, starring Jeff McKerley as the Herald, Ingrid Cole as the Wicked Stepmother, Tameka Scotton as the Fairy Godmother, Bradley Bergeron as the Prince, and Anna Kimmell as Cinderella at The Earl Smith Strand Theatre for a three weekend engagement December 4 - 20, 2009.

Local and U.S. concerts for Philippine typhoon victims have been pouring in since typhoons 'Ondoy' and 'Pepeng' displaced thousands of Filipinos a few months back. New York-based Filipino and Filipino-American theatre performers held their own benefit aptly titled BROADWAY BARKADA PRESENTS BALIKBAYAN BENEFIT last Thursday, December 3, 2009 at the Philippine Center at 556 Fifth Avenue.
