The Carnegie Announces Auditions for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

The Carnegie has announced auditions for the first production of its 2021-22 theatre season, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. The show that has devoured the hearts of theatergoers for more than thirty years will be back this August with an outdoor production.

Cincinnati Arts Association's 2021 Overture Awards Announces Winners

The Cincinnati Arts Association has announced the winners of its Overture Awards Competition.  Due to the impact of the pandemic, all three rounds of the competition were held virtually, culminating in an online announcement and celebration ceremony on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 7:00 PM. 

The Carnegie to Host ANGELS IN AMERICA: PT. 1 MILLENNIUM APPROACHES

 The Carnegie is inviting the public to experience a socially distant staged reading of the groundbreaking ANGELS IN AMERICA: PT. 1 MILLENNIUM APPROACHES  on Friday, April 2 and Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 7 p.m. The Carnegie’s Otto M. Budig Theatre. Tickets are $10 and a portion of the proceeds will go directly to local artists. 

Overture Awards 2020 Winners Announced

The Cincinnati Arts Association has announced the winners of its Overture Awards Competition, held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at the Aronoff Center's Jarson-Kaplan Theater, and the winner of its Arts Educator Award for Excellence in Arts Instruction. The competition awarded $4,000 to six area students for education and training, with 19 runners-up each winning $1,000, while the Arts Educator Award winner received $2,500 and two finalists were awarded $500 each.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS WITH THE MIGHTY WURLITZER Announced At Music Hall Ballroom

Another joyous season is about to kick off with the return of Happy Holidays with the Mighty Wurlitzer to Cincinnati's Music Hall Ballroom on Tuesday, December 3 at 10:30 AM and 7:00 PM, presented by The Friends of Music Hall (formerly known as the Society for the Preservation of Music Hall). This festive annual concert has become one of the Tri-state's most anticipated holiday music events.

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's 2019 FREE Shakespeare in the Park Tour opens next week on Friday June 21! This year's tour has over 40 performance stops (and growing). The popular Shakespeare titles, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Macbeth will be presented.  These performances are FREE and open to the public.

The production is directed by Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's Director of Creative Education and Outreach, Jeremy Dubin and features a 14 person cast with CSC Resident Ensemble Members Billy Chace, Kelly Mengelkoch, Sara, and Matthew Lewis Johnson. Cincinnati Shakespeare Company continues its 25th Anniversary Season at The Otto M. Budig Theater with William Shakespeare's Macbeth. The production is directed by Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's Associate Artist Miranda McGee and features a 21 person cast featuring CSC Resident Ensemble Members Giles Davies as Macbeth, Kelly Mengelkoch as Lady Macbeth, Grant Niezgodski as Macduff, and Justin McCombs as Banquo. Macbeth is generously sponsored by Kelley & David Downing, Judge (Ret.) Mark P. Painter & Sue Ann Painter, the Pete Strange Family, as well as PNC Bank and Taft Law.

2019-2020 Season Announced At Cincinnati Shakespeare

Cincinnati Shakespeare Company (CSC) announced the titles for its 2019-2020 Season at The Otto M. Budig Theater in an event on March 6.  This season will feature Women, on stage and off, in The Season of the Woman.  CSC's 2018-2019 Season is generously sponsored by The Otto M. Budig Family Foundation, The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile Jr. Foundation, The Shubert Foundation, Ohio Arts Council, and ArtsWave and all productions will feature Cincinnati Shakespeare Company's Resident Company of Actors.
