From the original company of HAMILTON and most recently seen in NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812, Okieriete Onaodowan joins the 10th Annual LIVING FOR TODAY concert on Monday, October 23 at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St) beginning at 6:30PM.

Since leaving the Broadway production of NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812, Okieriete Onaodowan has been mostly quiet on the controversy that saw his run as the titular Pierre end with confusion, outrage, and uncertainty. However, earlier this week, Onadowan spoke with Forbes editor Zack O'Malley Greenburg at the Forbes 30 Under 30 Summit in Boston about his experiences in HAMILTON and GREAT COMET, and on what it means to have a platform.

Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 closes today, September 3. The twelve-time Tony nominated new musical concludes its run just weeks after the controversy of replacing Okieriete Onaodowan with Mandy Patinkin - who withdrew from the production following public outcry.

The New York Times has reported that following public outcry, Broadway legend Mandy Patinkin has withdrawn from his scheduled run in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812.

As BroadwayWorld reported earlier this week, Tony and Emmy Award winner Mandy Patinkin will make his long-awaited return to Broadway in NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812, starring as 'Pierre' from August 15 - September 3 only. Okieriete 'Oak' Onaodowan, currently playing the role, will play his final performance as 'Pierre' on August 13.
