The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans is flying to new heights with Dangerous Birds (If Agitated), opening November 4th uptown at Phillips Bar. The vast outdoor patio of the neighborhood institution will be the staging area for three outrageous short comedies by Tennessee Williams tied together as an ornithology lesson by Burlesque staple Bunny Love. Theatre-goers will be able to enjoy show-themed cocktails while they watch the capers unfurl in this patio-turned-"atrium" where anything can happen-and will!
Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans sets sail for uncharted territory in its second season, opening with The Rose Tattoo by Tennessee Williams. The playwright's love letter to Italy was a Broadway blockbuster, winning a Tony Award for Best Play in 1951. Although its characters are mostly described as Sicilian, the play doesn't take place in the Mediterranean, but right here in the Gulf South! To realize the scope of this play and to engage the local and educational community, TWTC is partnering with Dillard University Theatre to collaborate on this production.

It will be directed by TWTC Co-Artistic Director Augustin J Correro.
When an opportunity to see one of Tennessee Williams's more obscure works arises, I advise everyone to take advantage of seeing it. So when KINGDOM OF EARTH presented itself, I knew I was in for a treat. Selected as the inaugural production for the newly formed Tennessee Williams Theatre Company (TWTC), KINGDOM OF EARTH is rarely produced, but is gaining traction as a Southern Gothic drama. The melodrama, dark humor and grotesque beauty that can be found in the Williams canon is rife in KINGDOM OF EARTH, and the TWTC puts all of it on a wonderful display.
The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans, a brand-new production company, presents Kingdom of Earth, Tennessee Williams' darkly comic thriller. The harrowing production stars local actors Kate Kuen as Myrtle, Sean Richmond as Chicken and David Williams as Lot and will be presented July 31-August 16 at the Metropolitan Community Church of New Orleans (6200 St Charles Avenue). It is directed by Co-Artistic Director Augustin J Correro.
The sheer power of rock could be heard in the French Quarter last Friday evening as punchy drum beats, attacking guitars and warm piano notes became the backdrop of the greatest story ever told.
