Company, the groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical by Stephen Sondheim and George Furth, concludes the summer season at Palm Beach Dramaworks, with performances beginning on Wednesday, August 7 (8pm) at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). Presented in concert as part of the Musical Theatre Master Series, Company plays a limited engagement through August 18. The production is directed byClive Cholerton, with musical direction by Paul Reekie.

Man of La Mancha, the beloved musical that follows the adventures of the eternally optimistic, Don Quixote, launches the summer season atPalm Beach Dramaworks on Wednesday July 10 (8PM), the first of two shows to be presented in concert as part of the Musical Theatre Masters Series. Man of La Mancha plays a limited engagement through July 21 at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street). The production is directed by Clive Cholerton, with musical direction by Caryl Fantel. Stephen Sondheim's Company follows from August 7 through August 18.

According to the Miami Herald's theater critic Christine Dolen, Broadway actress Janet Dacal flew out to Florida to star last-minute in Actors' Playhouse's production of In the Heights after the lead Sarah Amengual was taken ill.

It seems an obvious choice for Miami to produce one of the first regional productions of In The Heights, a musical centered around Latin culture in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. Theatre is meant to be relatable and hold up a mirror to its audience and, after feeling the electricity on opening night, the line between actor and audience was barely discernable.

The sold-out evening will benefit Thistle Farms, a social enterprise run by women who have survived prostitution, trafficking, addiction, and life on the streets.
