KRISTINA WONG, SWEATSHOP OVERLORD Begins This Month at La Jolla Playhouse

La Jolla Playhouse’s production of Kristina Wong, Sweatshop Overlord, written and performed by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristina Wong (featured in the Playhouse’s Digital WOW production of Binge) and directed by Chay Yew (Playhouse’s Cambodian Rock Band), will run in the Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre September 20 – October 16.

Wet Ink Ensemble Announces 2022-23 Artists-In-Residence

NYC-based new music group Wet Ink Ensemble announces its three new Artists-in-Residence: Obie award-winning theater artist Rick Burkhardt, composer and drummer Vicente Hansen Atria, and saxophonist and composer Ingrid Laubrock.

TheatreWorks Announces 52nd Season Including Two World Premieres

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. Subscriptions are now available; single tickets will be available in the coming months at TheatreWorks.org.

LISTEN: Sophia Anne Caruso Premieres New Single 'Snow & Ice'

Former Beetlejuice star Sophia Anne Caruso has dropped her brand-new single “Snow & Ice.” This Fall, she will star opposite Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington in Paul Feig’s original Netflix film THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL. She is also currently recording her first album with Empire of the Sun’s Nick Littlemore.

Playwrights Horizons Extends World Premiere of CORSICANA

Playwrights Horizons has extended Will Arbery’s Corsicana, directed by Tony winner Sam Gold, one week, to July 17, due to popular demand. The world premiere production opened Wednesday, June 22.

Vineyard Theatre Cancels Weekend Performances of LESSONS IN SURVIVAL: 1971

Due to positive COVID test results within the company, Vineyard Theatre has cancelled performances of Lessons in Survival: 1971 through Sunday, June 12. Ticket holders for impacted performances (June 10-12) will be contacted by phone and email regarding rebooking and next steps.
